~ DarNified UI NV ~
by DarN

Here I am again with a new UI overhaul. :) This one will be more or less identical to http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1121454-wipzbeta-darnified-ui-f3/, with FONV's extra menus DarNified as well.

NOTE: The font changes will mean the menus not yet DarNified will look weird at first.

http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1126008-wipz-darnified-ui-fonv/ - http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1128267-wipzbeta-darnified-ui-nv/

Downloads:

http://ui.darnified.net/wip/DUIFONV/v1/DUINVv02.7z - Extract to "FONV\Data\".

Install:

1. Edit the ini like so:

[Fonts];sFontFile_1=Textures\Fonts\Glow_Monofonto_Large.fntsFontFile_1=Textures\Fonts\DarN_FranKleinBold_14.fnt;sFontFile_2=Textures\Fonts\Monofonto_Large.fntsFontFile_2=Textures\Fonts\DarN_FranKleinBold_16.fntsFontFile_3=Textures\Fonts\Glow_Monofonto_Medium.fnt;sFontFile_4=Textures\Fonts\Monofonto_VeryLarge02_Dialogs2.fntsFontFile_4=Textures\Fonts\DarN_Sui_Generis_Otl_10.fntsFontFile_5=Textures\Fonts\Fixedsys_Comp_uniform_width.fnt;sFontFile_6=Textures\Fonts\Glow_Monofonto_VL_dialogs.fntsFontFile_6=Textures\Fonts\DarN_Sui_Generis_Otl_13.fnt;sFontFile_7=Textures\Fonts\Baked-in_Monofonto_Large.fntsFontFile_7=Textures\Fonts\DarN_Libel_Suit_Otl_24.fntsFontFile_8=Textures\Fonts\Glow_Futura_Caps_Large.fntsFontFile_9=Textures\Fonts\NVFont_Test.fnt

Just replace the entire section with this. The lines starting with a semi-colon are commented-out default entries.

If using the launcher, edit Fallout_default.ini in the game dir to get these settings to stick. The launcher resets the ini to the values from this file. Backup the original first.
If you're bypassing the launcher, you can edit Fallout.ini directly: "My Documents\My Games\FalloutNV\Fallout.ini". Backup the original first.
If neither method works, try editing [font="Courier New"]FalloutPrefs.ini
instead. This seems to work for some people.

2. Activate DarNifiedUINV.esp in the launcher.

NOTE: When reporting bugs, there's no substitute for a good screenshot to describe a problem.

Changes:
Fixed in v2:- Skill icon (LevelUp Menu) - done- CND bar using tick marks (HUD) - done- CND bar repair indicators position when using special ammo (HUD) - done- HCMode indicators (HUD) - done- Message icon (HUD) - done- Ammo type text (HUD) - doneNew in v2:- PipBoy + Mod Menu- Start Menu- DarNifiedUINV.esp - adds ability to zoom world map further.

Enjoy! :)

Regarding the http://ui.darnified.net/wip/DUIFONV/v1/DUIFONV_Stats3.png, I think the whole thing looks too small; relative to all the other elements, those are the smallest fonts and bars in the screen. You can probably fit a second line with only the bars in there. That would let the bars be longer, and the fonts be a bit larger.

The mod menu should still be considered a wip. It seems a little weird to me. Be on the lookout for the fixed bugs. In case they aren't as fixed as I had hoped. :)

zero,

You're a little late...

Is it possible to add weight to the barter menu? That would be *so* useful for me.

Not sure if that's easy or not.

Good catch. :)

Redownload - the esp is included now. This has 2 settings adjusted to allow for zooming further out. Activate it in the launcher.

Thank you DarN!

Already installed, I was not playing NV today hoping you would release second version, now I can finally play!

I have a question - the esp file, when I go to "data files" of launcher, is above the FalloutNV.esm

Is that correct? Will it work normally? I thought esms should go first.

I was the same :P

Been sitting around doing nothing because I don't want to waste too much of the game playing without a proper UI

This may have been asked before, but I'm curious. Why don't you submit these to newvegasnexus.com? I noticed the FO3 DUI isn't on fo3nexus, either.

Asked lots of times. I wanted to get DUIF3 as finished as possible before releasing it proper. With FOSE, the work never stopped though... That will be uploaded as soon as the new settings menu is in place.

For DUINV, I'll upload as soon as I have covered all the menus and killed the bugs. Hopefully before NVSE comes out. :P

Fallout NV Launcher lists files in alphabetical order, not by actual load order. Load order is determined by filedate, with ESMs always loading first.

So first off i wanted to say thanks for this mod...the default ui is garbage compared to this...so thanks

ok so i just downloaded this mod(btw i got the one with the esp in it) and altered the ini files...i did the default.ini and i did the regular fallout.ini..just to play it safe

well when i start up my game i get to the main menu and the bottom option "Quit" is cut off...still able to use it...but just wanted to give you a heads up

Example: http://img100.imageshack.us/i/screenshot1as.png

screen size is 1920x1080...had to resize the pic so i could post it

The menu is using the wrong fonts. The image in the lower left seems awfully big too...

thanks for answer - I just tested it and it works perfectly. So again - thanks DarN for awesome work!

Btw I assume DarNified is compatible with inventory sorters:

http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34950

correct?

I think that would make pipboy even easier to use.Anyone tried it?
