Dawnguard and Future DLC Discussion - Thread #19

... Then what are you doing here if you dont even like their games?

because the potential for it to be undeniably sixy is too great to pass up, that's what it means to be a Fanguy, and a Fanguy I am

OH MAN what if at E3, Todd comes out and he like waves and smiles and the people cheer and [censored]...

And then he announces that the April announcement was an announcement for an announcement of an E3 announcement about an announcement coming in August?

AND THEN HE DROPS THE MIC AND WALKS AWAY.

[censored], gets me excited just thinking about it....
This gets me excited as well. One of your more amusing post I might add. As there are a growing number of negative ones on an almost daily basis.

Still, E3 is an announcement convention? So, this has all been a rather lame and stupid "carrot dangle"...

I am ecstatic for E3, as I was ecstatic for today as well knowing that they were informing us of any shred of DLC related information.

I used to be 100% anti-used games, because I felt developer's should get as much money as they possibly can from their IP. Now, however, I found a way that I can both play good games, and also protest timed/exclusive content. FYI Bethesda, from now on, your games will be 2nd hand purchases.

Maybe they only decided on the title graphic so far and are working on the plotline now. ;)

I picture a clever idea gone wrong, the DLC will kick off from talking to an existing NPC, an NPC that in your game may now reside in Sovengard......OOOPS! :D

So Dawnguards been announced, what about all the smaller, optional DLC to improve the existing game that they said was coming? Any word about that? Will that come after Dawnguard?

That picture just proves it. The marketing Dovkiin is a mer. Anyway, it doesn't look like it's coming any time soon, so I think I'll play diablo 3 till it comes out on PC maybe in fall.

Well guard can mean many things.. It could mean RedGuards or protector.. If it means RedGuard there is a chance of going to Hamerfell.. But the word "Dawn" could mean many things aswell.. I dont think its Mythic Dawn because why would you ever protect them.. Dawn could also refer to Dawnstar.. and In Dawnstar there is a mythic Dawn Museum..

Since Vampires seem to be involved, maybe it's a literal name? Vampires being weak to sunlight, it's probably involved in that kind of way. A literal Guard against the dawn.

Dawnguard also sounds like a brand of sunscreen for vampires.

Dawnguard - SPF 5 Trillion.

Umm...don't the mers that could have that skin tone only have slanted eyes?

Maybe Bosmer, but that looks like Nord hair.

I bet Auriel is up to something. Remember, Auriel is the Dragon God of Time. He probably has just as much dominion over you as Akatosh.

My money's on that Dawnguard will come out and will blow everything else out of the water. The biggest success of the year.
Bethesda are always flamed and stuff, but they arent really that bad.
Why can't people understand the concept of "patience."
I am a fan Bethsda games, and will continue to do so. I think they're perfectly good Devs/Publishers and dont deserve the amount of negative, non constructive critisism given.
Thank you for this lovely DLC news Beth'! Cant wait 'till E3!

Maybe the Vampires are gonna use magic to make an eternal night kinda thing. and The Dragonborn has to guard the light?

Feed the carrot to the donkey, you don't get led to the market, I suppose.

Anyway, looks like my wish list is well and truly out the window (1. Dawnguard refers to the moons, which 'protect the dawn' i.e. Lorkhan keeps the world going, and you get to do moonsugar and travel to them with the space Khajiit and repair the void night forever. 2. 'Dawnguard' is the name of the Maormer flagship. Ah, well, never mind).

Dawn era is still possible though, to the Nords, the Dawn era wasn't the beginning of this world, but the end of the last one, or indeed the end of this one. Aegnir mentioned maybe you should let Alduin destroy the world, and there is always the suggestion that if the Kalpa doesn't turn, much, much worse happens. What could we possibly have to prevent that is actually worse than the whole world being eaten?

Since they're waiting until E3 to properly unveil it, this has to be a pretty substantial DLC. On par with Shivering Isles?

Vampires can walk in the sun, but depending on the clan, they are always weakened. So either they may try to become daywalkers or something(Kind of lame, considering walking in the day is already a gift in a sense).
