Dawnguard in my future? Doubtful...

I wasn't starting a flame war I was stating a fact... Console gaming was around before PC gaming was serious... The first console was the Magnavox Oddness which came out in 1972 with pong.

Oh yes...two pixels with one in the middle..that was fun!

Optimism is cute, isn't it? It will be at least 2 months between the release of DG on Xbox and the other platforms.

That doesn't bother me at all, because I'm still not convinced I even want it.

LOL
Well aren't you pessimistic. Seriously, unless something major happens I really don't see any reason for a big delay.
You know it's not healthy to have a pessimistic attitude all the time, I hope your just having a bad day.

Because they never, it was only out on Xbox and PC. PS3 never got Oblivion until a year or more ( I don't remember just how long ) after it was released on Xbox and PC. And before any one jumps on me, Arena and Daggerfall where PC only, then Morrowind was ported to Xbox.

Give or take a week just in case a patch has to be released along with your copy of DG. What is with all the downers? Why look at the cup as half empty, why not half full? If everything goes well and nothing " major " comes up PC and PS should get DG within 11-12 days. Geeessssss, by.

Well we don't get everything, PS still has exclusives just like Xbox has exclusives. It's the way the game is played.
I like to look at it as more exlcusive for us.
We don't pay for online, we get Uncharted and many other exculsive titles, so I don't care to wait 1 extra month for Dlc. I

It was back in the 70's. That was some cutting edge stuff.

Business is business. I wonder how many people would refuse if Microsoft stuck a big ass check in front of you and told you that you can have it if you just HELD content for some exclusive period of time before releasing it to the rest. Do people not understand that money talks?

Personally I would tell them to take a running [censored] at themselves.
Nothing beats kicking a bully in balls, especially a big corporate one.

They are paying for a form of discrimination and it also causes divides in the workplace when you can't talk to other gaming collegues about the game as they haven't played it or have played it to death and is yesterday's news to them.

I enjoy reading the Dawnguard Cheats: Spoilers board. GIves me something to do while I patiently wait for Dawnguard to be released on PC. That, and it gives me things to look forward to finding.

Sounds like the OP wants to complain for the sake of complaining.

If you had more self control to stay off the Dawnguard forums (it has it's own section after all) and told your "friends" not to spoil anything for you, you wouldn't be in this situation. So you have no one to blame but yourself.

Exactly the kind of criticism I was expecting on a forum. Guess what, kids! this was directed toward Bethesda, not you. Go feel high and mighty somewhere else.

Then why did you post in the forums? You could have emailed...

Just basing my opinion on their track record for releasing timed exclusives. And I'm not pessimistic, just being realistic.

I don't play Skyrim much these days, and with newer games coming out later this year...it could soon be a thing of the past for me. Honestly Skyrim just didn't hold my interest as long as previous Beth games.

Just my 2 cents; one of my colleagues has Skyrim on the PS3 and all he's heard from me about dawnguard is how strong the VL form is. We can still talk skyrim without me ruining anything for him, maybe some of your colleagues need to learn to think before they speak?

What, exactly, is this all about? I've been trying to figure out the point of threads like this one. But I can only come up with two answers... and maybe their off the mark, but if they are, I would really love to have some clarification about intent.

Is this some kind of attempt to scare Bethesda with the whole "I won't buy your product" line?

Or is it just more "I want it too! And I want it now! Cuz I deserve it!" behavior?

I'll admit that it's not as in depth as the previous games but I still really like it. Same goes for the DLC, you could sit down and come up with a 1000 different flaws, plot holes, and stuff that just flat out doesn't make sense but once again I enjoyed it, it's worth $20 if you ask me
Keep your head up, you never know they may just prove you wrong and release it when it's spose to. I think at the most it may be a week over due because of a patch release along with your copy of Dawnguard.

Well OP I was eating up every post on the internet about Skyrim before it came out. Viewing all the bootlegged gameplay vids, interviews, etc. Honestly I may have missed a little, especially the beginning of the game, but after 750+ hours in I have kind of gotten over that.

I've already watched full play through vids of Dawnguard and I still can't wait to get the DLC. But I will, I will wait ... cause I ain't got no choice. :(

^ Like LeBurns, I have been on the Dawnguard spoiler forum reading about the new stuff and watching play-through videos yet I am confident that I haven't seen half the content yet and I am still excited for it's release.

I find it very hard to believe that you have unwillingly "read or heard EVERYTHING about Dawnguard".

It's your fault you spoiled the game for yourself don't blame Bethesda for your lack of self control
