Dissapointing direction with Hearthfire, Bethesda...

Post » Tue Aug 28, 2012 9:12 pm

There is no pleasing the pc community, while you guys have some house mods, we dont and i actually think for 5 bucks this dlc looks pretty cool, and PS3 players still complaining about dawnguard. Well that's your own damn fault for buying a ps3. PC and xbox are much more similiar in terms of software, PS3 is alot harder for devs.

Adoption? Well it would be cool... If they weren't clones, weren't ripped right out of the ass of Fallout 3, had more then just 1 voice and HAD MER AND BEAST CHILDREN :drag:

Its not Bethesda's fault that the PS3 is a pain in the rear to program for.

Does not matter, they rushed and released an unfinished product, that is bad buissness practice. Blaming the CUSTOMER is just pathetic, and so are you. How would you like it if you bought a car, only to find it had no engine even though they told you it was working fine and checked over, and have the designer/manufacturer say to you 'it's your fault for buying it'?

As a PS3 player I only wonder if Im going to get this. (If Bethesda decides to ever release it for PS3)

Lol, say you were hoping for something more and get attacked for it. How silly of me to post a personal opinion in a discussion forum of all places. Especially on a thread labeled "Disappointing direction with Hearthfire, Bethesda".

can you cool it with the attacks and "nah nah nah boo boo" statements? why are you goding him because he/they/them/people didn't get what they wanted? can you simply let them express their disappointment and leave it be? why add to the frustration?

Oh please.
Bethesda agreed to release this game for PS3. They have a contract to uphold. You can't breach a contract on the grounds that "upholding my end of the bargain is really hard."

Tell you what, don't pay your rent next month and tell your landlord "it's your own damn fault for making paying the rent this hard." I'm sure she'll love you for it and won't bring you to court at all.

Ahh the days of exclusivity. Actually made the console debate worth it. I would probably have bought an xbox if there were more exclusives like this. Instead Im just stuck with a system that Skyrim doesnt like. Probably just get a PC for these kinda games instead.

Hey don't look at me, I'm just responding to someone else bringing PS3 into this. I'd be more than happy to drop the PS3 side-discussion.

I love the disappointment. Are you being forced to fork over the 5 bucks? I think not. Stop crying and grow up.

I'm looking at anyone who is dragging these "Hearthfire" topics off topic about something there are already multiple threads about, not just you. :stare:

As a console player without access to a mod which allows a player to build their own home, I'll probably buy this DLC.

Hopefully Beth will continue to expand on this idea by incorporating some of the thoughts discussed in the thread below into future DLCs:

Why give it away when most people will go "eh, only $5" and pay anyway?
Well think about it. Take another feature they released for free, like Mounted Combat. All that took was some coders and an animator or two to make the 3 or so new animations it uses.

Now look at house building & adoption. That took coders, scripting, new models, textures, drawings & artwork, animations, dialogue scripting, and voice acting. It's a HELL of a lot more complex, so I think it's completely fine that it isn't free.

Yeah. That assuming they're not just re-using Vanilla assets...

I wonder if there will be more craftable armor/weapons? And in one screenshot it said "give gift" when they were talking about the fish hatchery.

Were we not watching the same video? My list there is just from the new stuff they showed alone.

Hah. All of the old Hearthfire speculation threads about Hearthfire being this enormous dlc that will revamp the magic system seem so hilarious now.

Ah well. Looking forward to building Chez La Dovahkiin.

And who knows? Perhaps Bethesda will toss some extra goodies in there as well.

For YOU it might be dissapointing but for me I am happy as hell! I've been waiting for this [censored]!

Yay happy comment *cuddles*

I really like the whole idea of building a home and making it MY home and not some old dump I had to buy in order to become a thane! With this D L C I shall be able to really make this house personal and make it my own.

People really want to hate gamesas at the moment and I don't see why.
