As you may know, I like to take thread in CD and counterpoint them.

I'm a guy. From where I hit the floor to the top of my head measures roughly five feet and seven inches, or, for Troyatz, 170cm.

Not particularly tall, but not abnormally short.

My question to all male forumites is this - are you comfortable with your height? This being the internet, I'm aware that most of you are 6' 5+ and built like Adonis, but for those of you that fall more within the big bit of the bell curve (or maybe you're just built like a bell curve), my questions are simple.

What height would you strive to be?

How do you feel talking to somebody significantly taller than yourself?

Do you ever feel intimidated by somebody you're attracted to because of your height?

I like girls to be shorter than me. I'm 5ft 11, (which I believe is about 180 cm) and personally hate it if a girl is taller than me. My girlfriend is 5ft so that's perfect, she's also a redhead which is a bonus (not naturally sadly, she dyes it ginger )

She is 5' 3, which for me is perfect.

5' 10" also which I'm perfectly fine with. Not too tall and tall enough where I'm taller than most people.

I'm only about 6'2 (187cm), but despite not reaching the magical 6'5+ I still have a body that Adonis would be jealous of. I consider myself to be of pretty much perfect height. I'm equal to or slightly taller than most other Dutch guys and a lot taller than most immigrants and foreign students, of which there are quite a bunch here. I still run into people taller than me fairly regularly (one of my friends is 208cm, I think that's about 6'8), but since they cannot match my Spartan physique and handsome features I never feel intimidated.

Yep, everyone is. You are the only man who is 5' 7" on these forums!

No, last time I was measure by a doctor I was 6 ft 3 1/2 inches, but I have been told I am taller than that recently.

I have a friend who is about 6 ft 4in and he has a girlfriend who is something like 4ft 11in or whatever. I really don't want to have a girlfriend that short, but not ridiculously tall like 6ft 6in.

I'm 5 foot 7, and I'm happy with my height. There is one thing however that still annoys me though. Back in the earlier days I was a very promising Goalkeeper in football (soccer), I had lots of success and could probably have gone very far. And suddenly it took an end. Unfortunately for me I took a growth hormone to the nowhere, and we all know how tall GK's are, and needless to say my short stature was not a direct advantage for me. This still bothers me today, what if..

I eventually ditched being a GK and played forward, and I've done that for many many years now, and my height fits my playing style alot. I'm quick and agile, and I'm grateful for having those abilities.

As for everyday life, I'm still not too bothered with my height, even though I live in Norway where people tend to be tall. In my last year of high school I went to a class where the average male height was 6 foot 3 or something, needless to say I felt a tad bit weirded out but it was all cool I guess. I've never really faced any difficulties or had any negative remarks for being short, and I kinda like being short, makes me more unique if you will.

I'm 5'4", so, I don't think I really differentiate "what it's like" to talk to anyone significantly taller than me. A great many people are significantly taller than me. I'm fine with my height, but rather than discomfort or insecurity I do sometimes feel annoyance with it when having to deal with miscellaneous objects out there in the world that are clearly not designed with we elven folk in mind. Usually more annoyance with the object than my own height, though. Damn you, pants! Stop dragging on the floor!

Intimidation from people attracted to is a non-issue for me, and I don't really have any ideal height I wish I was, since for the most part it's not something I ever think about. However many inches are needed to be in range of top shelves would be fine.

I think I have you beaten here, since Spartan physique would be around 5'1".
Surprisingly though, I realized that my short stature is an advantage because I act like all my tall friends and girls tell me I have huge confidence (which is a turn-on), because the tall guys don't need a lot of confidence, and that they like me for it.

Another 5' 11" (180 cm) guy here, and I'm perfectly fine with my height.

As for females, I like tall girls and wouldn't care if a girl was taller than me. The one that I'm (trying to) pursue is 5' 9" (175 cm).

I'm either 5"11 and 3/4 or 6" on the nose. I haven't been measured for a while, but around that height. I wouldn't mind being 6"2 or something like that, but all in all I'm perfectly happy with my height. I'm taller than the vast majority of girls. I would never date a girl that's taller than me.

5' 7", and everyone I'm friends with are at least an inch or two taller than me. And I hate it. Constantly the short one in most social gatherings, unless women are present. I also have a build that makes me look rather stocky.

I was a little under 6'1" last I was measured, which is just above average I believe. Pretty happy with my height, I wouldn't like to be below 6' let alone below 5'10". I'd have to say the best height for a female is about 5'5", but I'm not bothered by a few inches here or there, mainly thanks to my own height.

I'm 5' 8'', but I still have 5 or so years to grow. My doctor predicted I'd be around 6' 2''.

I'd like to be in the 6 foot region, any thing taller than that is a bit too tall.

I don't really feel any different talking to a person taller than me, unless they are like 6 foot 5.

And I prefer my girls to be shorter to me, so that's not really a problem. Ideal height for a woman is around 5' 6'' or so.
