Who's getting offended? I'm more or less getting the feeling that OP is criticizing it from a gameplay perspective. (ie. "Bethesda shouldn't have wrote it like this because it doesn't make any sense for characters to do this.")

I'm offended, highly. Even moreso that this thread hasn't been locked or deleted entirely yet. Play as you will, your game, your life, but these types of statements being made here have no place in a public arena. Read my comments on substituting Gay for Jewish, reread, and see the statements being made in a whole new and bigotted light.

OP is just role-playing a moronic orc and choose to share it. Where in his post is he criticizing it?

I guess I just took it less as a "Look what my funny Orc did" story and more as a "Why is my manly Orc getting hit on?/that doesn't make sense from a gameplay perspective" statement.

I see no reason for you getting offended. I killed somebody for making an assumption with no merit that if it happended in real life would also offend people. I have also mentioned how my Ork gets easily offended. Not once did I insult being gay. I didn't say I was offended because he thought I was one of them........ But with the complaints here you would swear I did.
Harden up because if this offends you, you are easily offended

I took it as, somebody made a stupid assumption about me so now I will kill them. If an NPC had have accused me of being a vampire the same thing would have happended

Luckily we live in an age where we are no longer offended when someone thinks we are gay or if some guy thinks i'm beautiful. However I can see how an orc or a racist nord would be offended by such things. I think that orc should have killed or at least beat up that argonian right there when he said he was interested. Not go through the whole wedding thing to prove his point

Some people have implemented real life mods that insert a wooden branch up their ass at all times, and complain and are offended at virtually everything, even the fact you aren't offended as much as they are offended. That's offensive!

Well after reading all of Dylanm2164 post and the post directly replying to him and have come to this:
He's just messing with people because he can. Somewhat basing that on the fact that he keeps misspelling Orc after it has been corrected many times.
He made a character that is a Gay Basher, and is very proud of it.
He also feels very... ignorant.

Actually, no, we were quite good friends and worked together (his second job) for five years, so I knew him quite well. And I've known both men and women, straight and gay, that given your criteria, would be seriously mispegged. But again, I grew up in NYC.

If you REALLY don't see the problem with posting about killing someone jewish because they assumed you were jewish, or someone black because they assumed you were black, or white, or asian, or wiccan, or pick something equally as repugnant, then truly, there are more problems here than I thought.

That's premeditated murder. Add that its also a hate crime. This Orc needs to be sent to the chopping block, we have no need for his kind in the world.

You are told by Maramal before you can even talk to any of the NPCs about getting married that you wear the Necklace of Mara to show that you are interested in marriage. You talked to the Argonian with this knowledge. It pissed your Orc off. He plotted murder and carried it out. Is that not the point and details of your story? The Argonian's assumption had merit because you approched him while wearing a Amulet of Mara.

Your Orc is some that should be put down.

This is in no way Bethesda's fault. You have to purposely (and knowing what will happen if you do so because Maramal(?) tells you) wear a Mara's Amulet and engage in a special dialogue with your follower to any of this actually happen.

Also, why did you fell compelled to tell your tale here? Not forbidding you or anything but it's clear that your thread could generate nothing more than hate, discussion and a few laughs. Specially in the manner you initially wrote it.

That said, quite funny story. It's a shame that some people can't chill a little and laugh of the absurdity.

I'm pretty sure with the compounded crimes of it would just be a Kill on Sight Order.
