I have removed this part since it doesn't seem to matter. The only thing some people seem to see is "gay" and "killed" so they automatically jump to stupid conclusions. The basis was somebody assumed something about my Orc with anger issues and my Orc then proceeded to kill the for making a rude and un merited assumption. I will repose this under a different format so the story is not lost
thats great but this thread will no doubt be locked down. Dont get me wrong I dont like having the males hit on me. IMO they shouldve made an option at the begining to choose if your character is Gay, lisbian, Bisixual, or Strait. That way you only have options to marry those you want to.

I didn't say anything for or againts gay marriage so to close this would be stupid. I'm just sharing a story that involves the gay marriage feature in skyrim. If it was about the horse riding feature it would be fine.
I agreed after he told me he was interested in me, which I suppose was a compliment but I'm role playing an Ork that gets angry at small things so......

There's a certain charming naviety to how you almost entered into a same-six union with another dude.

So why did your Orc agree to get married instead of simply turning the individual down?
Also correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you need to initiate flirtatiousness dialogue?( ie. "Are you interested in me?")
I'm assuming your charracter was gay then and somehow portrayed that.
I like how you portrayed how your Orc almost got married by accident and you RPed him getting angry and beating the poor gay argonian man to death with your mace. This post should become a short story.
Oh lord, you people need to get out more, meet more diverse people, and, holy crap, be a bit more... um, at least tolerant, if you can't be accepting. 'Course, this is coming from someone who grew up in NYC, diversity capital of the world. Why in the world would it upset you if a guy hit on you? A simple, "No, thank you, I'm straight," will almost always suffice. And heck, he might even be a cool guy to hang with.
Ive never done the marriage thing before today. I bought the amulet and went about playing normally until I meet this person. I forget his name, he was an argonion in the companions house, but I spoke to him and then he proceeded to tell me how he was interested in me. So I went along with it, agreed to the marriage, went to the church and started the wedding. When asked if I was sure I replayed with no and then proceeded to beat his head in with a mace. This isn't me hating on gay marriage but don't assume me, a 6 foot plus Ork. Who happens to be Dovahkiin and has killed hundreds of foes, is gay. It seems quite rude to just assume everyone is gay. Anyway he's dead now so we are even
You agreed to a Dude wedding. Well a Beast Wedding with the voice of a dude.
An'd i am suppose to say your straight?
How old are you.. You obv don't understand Weddings.

Well plainly Skyrim has no stigma against same-six relationships. Tamriel doesn't have the same cultural backgrounds as we do, and since a large part of what straight people think of gay people is the cultural level of acceptance (for example, ancient Athenians were fine with it, Romans were cool with it as long as the Roman was the dominant partner, etc) then it follows that according toTamrielic norms your Orc overreacted.

I felt it was quite rude to assume what ones sixual preference is. And I'm role playing an easily offended Ork so this was inevitable. Lots of NPC's have been killed for a lot smaller things. Saying "hay, watch it" being the main reason

He's not upset he got hit on, he's upset he was one "I do" away from a hot wedding night with a lizard man.
From a roleplaying standpoint, playing a dimwitted orc who accidently agrees to something like this and then flies into a bloody rage once he finally realizes whats going on is 100% RP accurate.
I assume from you're a homophobe, not that you're gay.
I'm neither of the above but if you assume I'm gay and then quickly jump to marriage, I'm going to get slightly offended. Combine slightly offended with being an Ork with anger issues and you get your head bashed in

This thread is hilarious.
Thank you for seeing the point of this, I'm having to defend myself from homophobe accusations now
