The Nevarine has access to super-jump spells.... just jump miles high into the sky then flatten anything beneath you. Levitation to taunt the Dovahkiin. And some of the potions the Nevarine can make..... godly and deadly. :teehee:

Plus mr. Sheogorath, can't seem to use his deadric like powers in the realm of Cyrodil for some reason.

Also the Nevarine is immortal and has had plenty of time to perfect those skills.

He can still be killed though, can't he? Just can't die of illness, old age and that...

he could possibly be the most powerful yet if you go off the lore and history, if tiber Septim managed to become a god because he was Dragon Born then our dragonborn should be able to do that right? Take into consideration that we are playing the dragonborn in his early days and its been revealed that he doesn't even know hes dragonborn at the start of the game. So wait until the games out and judge how strong we are at the end of the main quest

While the Nerevarine fought and killed Almalexia, she was losing her divinity due to the destruction of the heart of Lorkhan. Vivec even states that they are growing weaker and Dagoth Ur is growing stronger. Of course, defeating Dagoth Ur is quite the achievement.

While the Nerevarine defeats two man-gods, the Champion of Cyrodiil does one better and defeats a Daedric Prince (Jyggalag), after helping defeat another (Dagon). And while the Nerevarine had a few extra spells at his/her disposal, some of the really powerful effects are easier to come by in Oblivion.

Not sure about the Arena champion...
I think the Daggerfall champion became a special agent/guard of the Emperor...someone correct me if I'm wrong.
The Nerevarine became immortal and was capable of defeating demi-gods (Dagoth Ur and Almalexia) in toe-to-toe combat.
The Champion of Cyrodiil became Sheogorath, as mentioned before.

We don't really know exactly what the Dovahkiin does yet...
I'd say it's possible he's one of the most powerful...but, I don't think THE most powerful.
Nerevarine was not immortal. He was ageless. Big difference.

The character at the end of the Shivering Islands expansion ought to be the most powerful. He became an aspect of a Daedra prince with powers to command a plane on his own!

However, I do hope in skyrim the hero finally becomes someone important (even without a name... let he/her be known simply as 'the dragonborn') and not just a random guy who is forced to do the dirty works for others like in all the rest of the TES games.

Jyggalag was unsure of what to call you at the end of Shivering Isles. It's implied that the Champion will eventually grow to the position of Sheogorath and eventually fulfill the role completely, becoming a true incarnation of the Madgod.

Going from mere mortal to Daedric Prince is a very, very, -very- high power rating, and it'll be hard for Dovakhinn to top it.

However, if he actually -kills- Alduin somehow, and absorbs his soul...

Nope. The Champion of the Iliac Bay (Daggerfall) got stomped on and killed by Numidium when he attempted to use the Totem to control Numidium. Was one of the possible endings to TES II: Daggerfall if you decided to attempt to use the Totem yourself. Due to the Dragon Break, all the possible endings of Daggerfall did happen, so the protagonist of Daggerfall died when he got squished by Numidium's foot.

I'm not quite sure I agree with you. The last dragonborn, Tiber Septim, was badass enough to become a god.
What if.....

From what I understood, CoC is just a placeholder. He has some of Sheo's powers, but not 100% Sheo's powers. If anything, he's a demi-Daedric Prince. I could be very wrong though.

Dovahkiin's probably the strongest as he's gonna have to fight the time-eater itself.

Certainly sounds like a badass, besides the Nerevarine never yelled at a dragon like it was just some kid missbehaving in a shopping centre. DK has the potential to ooze badass.

by definition of lore, the dovakin is not the most powerfull, last game, we became a deadric prince.... thats a bit hard to topple, even gods are on par with those guys

Even gameplay-wise, the flippin' Champion of Cyrodiil is 100% magic resistant and reflects 100% of weapon damage so that only bows and traps can hurt him.
That's pretty damn hard to top.

I'd still say the Nerevarine is the most bad ass. He becomes ageless, immune to disease including corprus, defeats 2 demi gods in battle, as well as defeats an aspect of the deadric prince Hircine. He is also the reincarnation of the most bad ass Dunmer war chief who ever lived, and blessed by Azura herself.

HI there, I'm new to the forums, I've only played TES Oblivion and loved it, so I'm gonna try Skyrim, I agree Dovahkiin seems pretty strong, but, can we actually play as THIS character himself instead of creating a totally different one? I'm not talking about attributes, but the character model, because he looks badass :batman:

I'm sure you can play as Trailer!Dovahkiin. Just print out a picture of him and create him in the character creation menu if he's not already one of the presets.

Well well, both the CoC and Nerevarine become ageless at some point in the game, 200 years later they must be A LOT more powerful.
But , well , the Nerevarine could be dead anyway, after all he went to Akavir and was never heard from again.

Besides, I don't think Dovahkiin will turn immortal.

The op is talking about the power you have as dovahkiin vs the power you had in previous elder scrolls games, not the titles you had but the power, and i think the Dovahkiin is the most powerful char in the Elder Srolls so far.

Only played oblivion so i wouldn't really know , but if the dragon absorbed the soul of alduin , with is the nordic version of Akatosh(i think) he wouldof absorbed the soul of a god ,in which case he'd be pretty damn powerful.
