My dreams are usually a mix of something random and real life. I broke up with my girlfriend last night and when I went to sleep, I dreamed I was Jesus (but still looked like me) travelling by an old worn out Pegasus type thing to the city of Like Moths To Flames (which is a band) to console my crying ex girlfriend (the one I just broke up with). Well this flying horse was just worn out so I decided to travel by motorcycle instead. On the way there I was waylaid by a couple of people on motorcycles that were actually demons. So then I was chased down the road and to a train station, did all sorts of crazy tricks up walls etc. to avoid them (one was seriously in slow motion and involved doing a wheely and then hitting one of them in the face in the air with my back wheel) and then I woke up.

Does anyone have recurring dreams? I have a couple of dreams that I have had on a regular basis since I was a child. I find it kinda of annoying, because I can't figure out why those particular dreams repeat but not others.

I do they're about my deceased mother who passed away 2 and a half years ago---I really wish they stop I haven't had a good night sleep because of it <_<.

I have good and bad ones but I don't usually think about them alot. Sometimes, I forget them which is a relief IMO. I do recall a very recent one where it involved Darth Vadar and Super Mario Bros. It was strange

My dreams tend to feel almost like a Tool music video. And boy, I noticed they're only more vivid with this nicotine patch I'm wearing to quit smoking.

Lucky bastard.

Dream I had last included me being killed by a great storm, only to wake up in another body and in another world. In this existence I had two kids, one newborn, looked about 2 months, one four year old, and a wife. Wife was slightly shorter than me, short black hair, very pale skin. Gorgeous. I then went to sleep in this life, only to wake up and find that I survived the storm. I was one of three survivors. There are all kinds of details that I am too lazy to type, and I eventually ended up in an episode of House.

I think a nightmare usually has something that you can't fully control in it. Like in one dream I punched some zombie person in the face as hard as I could, and it went down, but as I was getting away from it it tries grabbing my ankle and the dream starts getting messed up, and then it's like a fight to resist the nightmare, until I wake up out of it. Kind of annoying, but I don't had dreams like that anymore.

Really? I can't remember having a nightmare I couldn't control.

I remember a night-mare ("attempt?"): This one time I found myself inside a pyramid, the most inner chamber, no lights anywhere. So I just grabbed a torch to be able to see. Then, the upper most door at the ends of stairs leading up came a shadowy figure, light behind it so I couldn't see it but I just knew it was the mummy coming back to sleep again and I was in its way, with no-where to go. So I grabbed a shovel and dug my way up, filling the tunnel behind me as I dug so it couldn't follow. Landed on a beach with a beautiful sunrise, but didn't want to stay there, just in case, so I started swimming through the air over the ocean.

It sounds so insane when it's re-told black-on-white.

I had a nightmare where an evil drunken Irish fish was staring me down with these very creepy eyebrows. :cold:

I don't remember my dreams too often anymore, but I did all the time as a youth. They took pages for me to write down. Convoluted and lengthy, where I can remember a million details etc. I don't tend to think of myself as having nightmares (don't wake up "scared") but they can be very surreal with occasional horrific moments I suppose. My dreams never feel like "real life" an often it's more like watching a movie.

Today, when I remember a dream, it's usually based on whatever thing I'm obsessing on in real life that week ... like a game, or house repairs that aren't going well, or whatever. But yet they're still very surreal. Y'know...where you know the person in your dream represents a certain person, but they look nothing like the person does in real life? Or the sort where you're wandering around your parents old house that you grew up in, which in the dream is laid out nothing like how you remember, yet you know it's your parents old house.

My dad dreamed in black & white...which is strange to me. I wish I could dream in black in white once in a while, it might be cool.

My worst dream as a child was of an old woman with a cheshire grin waveing at me to come out of the house i was in, no matter which window i ran too, she was there.
As i got to the top of the stairs to get out of the house, she was there at the bottom, i lost my footing, slipped down the stairs as if it was a slide, as she opened her arms to grab me i woke up.

Holy cow, that is creepy! Was it once or did you have it multiple times?

When i was in grade 8 i was addicted to H.p lovecraft, no joke, so after reading "The dreams in the witch house" i had this very disturbing dream, Holy [censored] i think it might have been sleep paralises, I was bound on a stone table, and i started to hear whispers it felt very strange, i could feel myself, but i could not move at all, The whispers started to get closer and closer, until i could see faint shapes in the black void of darkness that was around me, the feeling got closer and closer, I could not scream, i could not move, it was horrorfying, And then i though i saw a dagger like object, then i saw them, horroryfing shapes, the shapes just stared at me, they stared at me for what seemed like a hour, then they started to get closer and closer the dagger like object suddenly fell, for a second just a secondd i felt the dagger in my chest, I awoke right after the dagger fell.

If you awoke it was not sleep paralysis. When you are experiencing sleep paralysis you see everything around you and there is no clear awakening moment. There is just the being frozen in your bed with your eyes open and you mind functioning seeing things and then suddenly you start being able to move your body more and more bit by bit and the hallucinations fade away.

Sounds like a pretty scary dream though, I don't tend to remember scary dreams and the worst I can remember is one where I was on the ocean floor and I approached something that looked like a lady buried in the sand of the ocean floor from the waist down, and then she grabbed my ankle so I couldn't swim up to the surface to breathe.

I've been getting that at least once a week here recently.

Had a dream about 2 months ago where I was walking on an invisible sidewalk in the sky. As I continued to walk the world changed around me. Like one second it was normal and the next I was going through a cavern. This continued for I think 6 areas that I can remember until I arrived at the end where this creepy clown was smiling at me. (idk why but it was terrifying at the time.) and I awoke on the floor :/

I remember when I was around 6 I had a dream that me and Muriel from Courage the Cowardly Dog were being forced to work in a kitchen by a bunch of identical men who I thought were from the government.

I had one a few years back where my dad, brother, and I were staying the night in a creepy old house during a storm. Whenever I tried to fall asleep, a bear statue across the room's eyes would glow red.

I had one last night where my girlfriend got with another guy and genuinely didn't think I existed.

As I think about it I realize all my dreams that I remember are random pieces of things I've seen jumbled together in a huge, disturbing, creepy collage.

I've been drafting too much of late: I had a nightmare in which I was attempting to trim excess lines but CAD wouldn't comply and kept messing everything up. When I woke, I thought it was real and that my drawing due that morning hadn't been completed. What relief to discover it was just a dream.

Hmm...most screwed up dream i've had so far is imagining I was riding one of those old people scooters you see in grocery stores *the motorized carts that go 1mph*. For some reason I couldn't get off of it and this raptor was on another cart chasing me and gaining on me swinging around a cane trying to kill me. Still don't know why I had the dream nor why I just didn't get off the dang cart and made a bolt for a nearby house. *shrug*

Nightmare wise I really can't say since i've had some pretty gory ones.

When I fly in my dreams I'm always swimming in the air too. Sometimes it turns into a nightmare because I can't control it and float too high.
