Elder Scrolls V: The Movie

are you that inept at choosing actors for a movie, excluding viggo moretensen and christian bale they all [censored] svck.

Vin Diesel or Nicolas Cage... are you [censored] serious?

I personally don't like Viggo just because he did ok in LOR doesn't mean he'd be a good lead for Skyrim. I think Vin or that actor from Thor would be a good lead, but to each his own...

The dragonborn is whatever the player chooses and not a generic male Nord. I can't say I'd be thrilled with a movie that portrays the dragonborn as a set character.

Mads Mikkelsen as the Dragonborn.
Liam Neeson as Esbern.

Then, get Vin Diesel to voice Alduin. :flamethrower:

As much as I like TES, I doubt I would go see a TES movie, it wouldn't be the same. Besides, I think out of the multitudes of video game movies I've seen I can count on one hand (with digits to spare) the amount I thought weren't total garbage.

But I voted for Viggo Mortensen/Sean Connery anyway :P

Of course movies about video games like Mario Brothers, Doom, Streetfighter weren't any good, because none of those games had a complex story, and none of the characters in those games have any depth to them, as to fill 2 hours worth of movie.

But the Elder Scrolls have much lore behind them, with characters that have back stories, that I don't see why a good movie could not be made.

For a Skyrim-themed movie, if I were casting it, the lead character would go to someone like Charlie Hunnam or Jouko Ahola.
Esbern, Laurence Fishbourne.

Viggo is the only good actor you put int he Dragon Born list, so I chose him.

for Esbern I'm gonna have to pick Sydow.

Esbern should be Harrison Ford.

Make him less of a mentor and more of an aging warrior.

Dragonborn should be someone from Lord of the Rings so I say Viggo Mortenson.
Esbern...hmmm...how about Hugo Weaving or Ian McKellen?

Whats up with the cliched, boring, type casting everyone does when a topic like this comes up?

I hope someday Bethesda produces TES and Fallout feature films - both of these franchises would adapt well to the screen.

In the meantime, I'm feeling like http://images1.memegenerator.net/ImageMacro/7170478/FUS-RO-DAH-umm-can-I-watch-HBO-at-your-house-on-Sunday.jpg?imageSize=Medium&generatorName=Fus-Ro-Dah

Personaly I think it would be better for a theoretical TES movie to involve historic events rather than those portrayed in the games.

The best one I can think of would be Tiber Septim's rise to power and Godhood.

Most epic sceen would be when he faces the greybeards at the throat of the world and withstands the power of their voices.
