Email from Bethesda explaining some of the patch

Post » Thu May 17, 2012 10:30 am

Obviously, if an Admin hasn't posted saying that this is a fake e-mail, then there is a good chance that it's real. Imagine how many forum members have already pressed the 'Report' button on this thread.

If anyone bothered to check out the senders website/email address (e4e.com). It is an Indian based company that Bethesda has obviously outsourced its 'customer service' to. If anyone here owns a mobile phone, then they understand the joys of speaking to India and the absolute lack of service that you get from them. I believe the email is not a fake but it is also completely misinformed. I now have two complaints regarding Bethesda - 1. They have released an untested product, made us pay full price and used us as beta testers. 2. They are too lazy to keep jobs in their own country and have outsourced their complaints and customer relations department to India to save money - This I find completely disgusting! BOOOOO!!! Shame on you Bethesda!

Lets wait and hopefully the 'real' Bethesda people will come to the party and keep us informed directly, but I could just be kidding myself if I think this will actually happen.

LMAO @ made you pay full price. yes, they came to your house, put a gun to your head and said, YOU MUST BUY OUR GAME OR KISS YOUR ASS GOODBYE!!!

You can raise that to 4. Just use ether the old or new 4gb patch.
From my Previous post= The dude must have thought you were talking about the pc patch. The pc has a memory limit of 2GB of RAM.

Are we talking about the same thing? Because the PC has a 2GB RAM limit and the only way to raise it is with third-party software. It has not been patched to raise the limit, it's still at 2GB RAM and Bethesda has not stated any reason as to why they put a limit on it and has no intention on rising it.

The Dude must had thought you were talking about the PC patch. No way would you get a response like that if he knew you were talking about the PS3. A memory limit on a PS3?? You can't adjust the memory on a PS3.

Check the email that you sent to them. How did you structure your words?

So it has to be real because no one has contested it? Nice logic. Here is some more nice logic for you.

The sky is green.

*gasp* no one contested it so it must be true!!!

If you're on a PC, there should be a button near the top-right of your keyboard called "print screen" (sometimes "prt sc"). Press that, open Microsoft paint, photoshop, or any photo editing program. Paste the image to it, and go with a Black marker tool to blotch out compromising info about yourself (i.e. name, personal info, things like that). When you're done, save the image and go to an image hosting site, like "imageshack.us". Upload it there and post a link that they should give you here.
I think he's joking

That doesn't sound like an official response we would have endorsed and given to the support group, but if the OP would like to PM me details of the conversation, I'll definitely look into it with our support team.

I doubt you'll get anything. Most people don't realize that any problem that recieves a significant number of tickets usually has a single response that was laboriously concieved by the PR people at the firm (I assume that's your role?). The only way this came from someone at Bethesda support would be if someone blatantly disregarded directions.

That's just my guess though, I'm not tied to you guys in any way.

EDIT: unless a QA tester position comes up, then I'll be all over that.

Any chance the community can get an official response on this?

QA at Bethesda? Doesn't seem to exist, I think they spend all the money on marketing instead.

Well ask yourself this question DID THEY EVER FIX THE ISSUE from Fallout 3 or Fallout New Vegas NO No and a HELL to the no actually they usually made it worse with DLC more patches for other things...so No this problem will never be fixed...but they don't care to recode the engine to make it use the cell processor to take some of the stress off the GPU the main real issue with the lag because am starting to think there the dumbest people on the planet or the ladder of the two laziest programmers that can give to craps about the ps3 console base which they should...xbox/ps3 sales were almost equal in value...so we deserve the same time and effort for a equal product not a inferior one....heres a good anology for ya...You buy a Ferrari and it starts having problems you take it in for service but when you get it back its not ur car kinda like it sort resembles it but its not quite it its a lemon crap honda that they slapped there logo on and said there u go problem solved =) good day don't come again

Just so you know, your email address is still visible in that picture.
I personally think you may have somehow sent your initial email to somebody other than Bethesda, and whoever that was decided to be a joker and sent this reply.
