Hi,
"We apologize that the update caused an inconvenience for you. Unfortunately, this will not be rectified and the patch was made by design to implement a Memory limitation to the computer. We hope you continue to enjoy the game."

(my email)After the new patch 201/102 my play stations and many others work ok for an hour or 2 then the framerate drops to an unplayabe rate again THIS is the patch you said would fix the framerate for us but it only prolongs the lag for another 30 mins Speaking for the ps3 community i ask you to please fix the framerate completely

So what exactly are you looking for here? They didn't say they'd fixed the lag completely yet and they've already said they're continuing to look into ongoing issues as they're reported.

...that email says 'This will not be rectified'. That seems fairly damning, but maybe the tech support guy doesn't know what he is talking about

In all honesty (and this is going to sound harsh but there's not really a gentle way to put it) the response makes just as much sense as your original email.

Ok 2 question

What happens when we reach that memory limit they said

And they said it would not be rectified meaning this is as good as we get for a lag fix

If you understand English then what the TC posted is pretty clear. The tech guy literally says they WON'T fix the gamebreaking lag anymore. Yes. I thought I was seeing things but that's what it read.

By 'my' email I assume you are referring to DeDy's? His english may not be outstanding but I think he explained his issue to the support rep....

Did you copy and paste the email directly into the reply area? Are you from somewhere, where English isn't the primary language, and used a translation website to translate it? Because it doesn't make any sense to me.

Yes because a lowest-level tech support grunt with really poor grammar skills speaks for the entire company.

Someone has to tell them what the official response is when an issue is brought up (we have to tell our tech guys the same thing). Obviously I am hoping the support rep is mistaken, because that would svck.

Because it's a "canned" response. A quick email reply where the only real purpose is to get the customer to leave you alone. They're probably getting an insane number of emails right now and just sending stuff like this out all but automatically. Less than ideal, but obviously this guy doesn't speak for Bethesda as a whole. Of course there's nothing preventing them from working on the issue more.

Obviously the email is incorrect. Unless Bethesda comes out with an official public statement that they're never releasing another patch there's no reason to believe a single line from a minimum-wage techie.

What's the surprise here?

Anyone that's been following Bethesda games for the last several years already knows they can't fix the memory load issue. They can try tricks with the graphics or limiting the number of npcs in loaded areas or whatever else they try to do to minimize how much is loaded at a time, but if players continue on to multiple load areas without restarting the game, the memory load will bog down the system.

They have never "fixed" anything and they never will.

I am continually amazed that people keep on believing something is going to change. If they could fix it, they would have long ago. You think they like having this problem?
