I couldn't help but think how much better Skyrim could have been with the money TESO svcked from it.
I think skyrim was a fantastic game, good enough is enough in my opinion. Dawnguard is releasing soon, it will surely be an improvement and the community has improved a hell of a lot of skyrim too.
Edit: On a completely irrelevant sidenote, can you even imagine how much money the World of Warcraft has svcked out of not only TES but the entire game industry? The only thing I think is keeping WoW alive is these fond distractions like AoC, Aion, DAOC, Tera, SWTOR, you name it. It seems like wow players go from "man WoW really svcks, I'm gonna try out this new not-bankrupt-yet MMO that is the currently prophesied WoW-killer" and then they get tired of said game and come back to a refreshing world of warcraft, if said "prophesied wow-killer mmo" had never existed the player would have stuck to wow for too long and straight up quit it.
Might as well throw Rage, Brink, and dishonoured into that strange mix then.
I would without a shred of doubt trade a John Carmack for a Skyrim. Even though that is not the case, Skyrim was a magnificent success and is still selling like a BAOWS. Think of how much later the game had been released. It takes time and money, money is relevant to how long the game is developed. If they had had a larger budget they might have still be developing Skyrim. And you would have been playing what? Panda warcraft beta? Battlefield 3? Why not just kill yourself instead amirite?
What worry me is TES 6. Of cours TESO is not developed by Bethesda, but what happens when TES 6 coms out? Those who have played the TESO will have seen every province and locations already, wich will kill the exploration of TES 6.
Pete Hines made an announcement on twitter saying that TESO would not effect the outcome of neither future BGS "works in progress" nor present.
