Only in real life do to simple fact that I cant shoot fireballs, lightning bolts or summon Daedra or dragons to kill them for me.

I have no fear of spiders hut the giant spiders at lower levels are dangerous to your character. But no i have no phobia of them in the least. I think they are interesting creatures to say the least. I do feel for those that have such a fear but keep in mind that this is only a game.

They are the smart ones, to fear is to live another day, the brave pushed their luck which is why there are so few, now its just ignorance ;p

but seriously though their ancestors were smart, spider= death don't **** with it. its kinda not as useful now but still serves its purpose.

I know. Bears in Skyrim freak me out, they're like war machines, they tear me apart in seconds. I fear them more than dragons.

They're small and creepy, they crawl up on you when you're least aware, then you turn around and there they sit, staring at you as if you were something... I don't know. And they always come back. You can destroy their webs a hundred times and they'll be back.
They can also be hairy. And what do they need all those legs for anyway?

As for killing... Sure, you can kill an tiny spider in your bathroom. But try killing a tarantula

I'm not scared of spiders at all, especially not in Skyrim. IRL I once had a spider crawl on my neck, and I just let it crawl around for awhile before eventually setting it free.
Skyrim's spiders are disturbingly large and hairy though but I always keep my fire spells handy.

Dear god, no. Bears are overwhelming, but you get used to them eventually. Spiders are creepy, but I get a twisted pleasure from throwing fireballs at them. This... thing... it's not human. It's disgusting. I couldn't stand it in my game. Brr.

No animal needs that many legs. They are just wrong.

I modded them out of my game. I did not use that mod someone linked to. I made my own, that replaces them with skeevers, chaurus, bears, and other critters, based on the power of the spider. It is actually a lot more difficult than the vanilla game, because there are places you will find snow bears or chaurus reapers at low level.

Call me ignorant or whatever, but I just don't see how someone could be scared of something like that. I mean, I understand that someone might not want to touch one, but why would someone freak out when they just see one?

I LOVE the spiders, but I sympathise for people who have a fear of them.

The only monsters I hate are bears. They're not scary, they're just so common and annoying. They chase you like mindless killing machines, and they're too fast to run away from and they're not easily killed. Hate them!

Oh and dragons, after level twenty. Before level twenty "Oh my god that was awesome!" After level twenty "Oh not a again."

Well, the first time i want to bleak falls barrow, obviously i didn't know that giant spider was going to drop at me, so i killed the smaller one and wen "YAY I CAN GET UP AND SPRINT NOW!! "
then the spider dropped behind me, i nearlt pooped myself, and i couldn't feel my hands properly until i got out of the cave.

but i still can't stand to walk by them, so i don't mind wasting a shout or two to clear push them out of the way, plus, now i have installed the real lighting mod that makes caves much, much darker.

however in real life i'm used to kill spiders/cockroaches and i don't mind.

Also, another bad thing is, if you have played half life 2, the chapter where the bugs don't attack you and follow you in tunnels, so i have killed everyone and i happily turn around to see them standing at 1 feet from me. that's probably the game that made me jump out of my chair the most times.

In Skyrim, if there is a spider I can't kill at long range with my bow, I make Cicero kill it.

I hate when their...eh...vomitball (LOL) suddenly falls on my head and kills me instantly.Or when you are trying to enjoy the view near Morthal chaurus kills you in melee combat.From the back of course.
