Female Armor V2

I'm thinking maybe the females should get a knock-out skill associated with that revealing armor - maybe a twenty second stun.

Nope. I find it immersion-breaking when all male and females look the same.

Since when did cleavage = skimpy? Go to google image search and type in skimpy and you'll see what's actually considered to be skimpy these days. The females from the concept arts that certain people are complaining about look appropriately armed. Hell, the Nord female is wearing full plate armor.

The last thing I'd want is for it to be like LotR RotK where Eowyn is wearing mens armor and aside from the closeups of her face you have no idea that its a female in there.

Why? Why should they be penalized for wearing armor? Giving a twenty second stun for wearing revealing armor is just giving out a lot more attention to revealing armor than it already has or needs. It would pretty much be Zenimax shouting "HAY GUYS THIS IS SKIMPYZ ARMOR, WEAR IT AND BE --PUUNISSHHHEEDD--"

Don't worry. If there's one thing fantasy MMOs can't have, it's subtetly.

Way to completely misread that post.

Yeah, complete with 00 and everything.

Well maybe I want to roleplay as some crazy hermit?

then I suspect my friend, that your searching skill require a little bit of calibration.

considering that we currently live in the civilisations fall times - I do not exactly look up to images posted on the internet.

I don't mind skimpy armor just as long as there some skimpy armor for men as well. Skyrim did that perfectly. I can't stand one-sided fanservice.

Whats skimpy for females isn't considered skimpy for males. I would love some "male-skimpy" armor too though (and by that, I mean like the chest reveled).

How am I wrong for stating the opinion that I think armor that become less while still retaining its original stats when applied to a female is nothing less than [the "r-word means 'slow', Bethesda!], not to mention immersion-breaking?

Well I have to admit, I don't exactly feel like searching through all the ESO screenshots and videos looking for codpieces, so maybe I can't prove that they exist in this game. But along that same line of reasoning, you also cannot prove that the same suit of armor for both genders is noticeably skimpier on the female in this game. So we are at an impasse.

However, for the sake of discussion, if I had to guess, I would say that those two concept arts of the females showing a bit of skin are probably light armors and I'd be willing to bet that the male versions of those armors are also showing skin (they don't exactly have cleavage to show but you could probably see their neck/arms and maybe some of their chest). Sort of like the previous example of the Forsworn armor in Skyrim. In which case, if it is as I assume, each gender is being fairly treated in terms of not being overly sixualized.

Oh, I'm terribly sorry. You must be confusing Elder Scrolls with porm hub.

They don't have to look the same- their body shapes see to that. They don't have to show lots of skin and write TAKE ME across their chests either. I swear, this is why they shouldn't make an MMO. We get optimistic, think they can realise the lore well and we get slapped in the face by adolescent males wanting to get some in-game porm.

Since scribonate's pic.

Why do you people keep trying to excuse yourselves with this nonsense. I'd hate to be in your army. Any female I'm fighting with will get a sword right through her "bit of skin". Would it be so terrible for you to have a tasteful game?

I know, right? And now that I have your attention...

But along that same line of reasoning, you also cannot prove that the same suit of armor for both genders is noticeably skimpier on the female in this game. So we are at an impasse.
I don't know how many different pieces of armor one can equip at the same time, and http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QIGO3XUZHe8/T6iZPxHbxEI/AAAAAAAAAIA/npPbG5YowZY/s1600/ElderScrollsOnline02.jpg is old so the design may have changed, but to me it looks like the Orc and the Breton are wearing the same type of armor. But I won't be 100% certain until the Beta-testers confirm this, so you're right.

I'm okay with light armor being more revealing, it is after all designed with mobility in mind (if not scarcity in materials is the case).
But the armor in the picture I linked looks like heavy armor to me. Again, I don't know if the pauldron comes with the armor or not.
I wouldn't be so alarmed about this if not for the frequent display of boob windows in the artwork and preview footage. I hope it won't be the case once the game comes out.
