For PC users: What rig do you got?

Post » Mon Jun 14, 2010 9:37 pm

My ultra portable desktop hehe.

Sager x7200/np7280 (Laptop by name, really a "desktop replacement"):
-Desktop core i7 960 @3.4ghz
-2x gtx460m gfx cards SLI (The desktop equivalent of 2 gts 450s in SLI)
-6gb ddr3 memory
-80gb ssd
-(2)750gb HDDs

Cost me a pretty penny. I use it for 3d cad drawing, gaming and graphic design. It can max crysis 2 easily..

..on 720p. On full native res (1080p), it's anywhere from 15-30fps. Looks pretty either way, I prefer the smoother 720p though. ;)

I don't think it matters what kind of rigs we have, even the cheapest videocards out there will run this game.

Thanks, consoles.

Running it in Extreme with everything cranked up in the graphics utility. Runs very well indeed.
Using an AMD Athlon x4 620 quad at 2.6 ghz, 4 gig of RAM (DDR2) , ATI 1 gig 5770 and windows 7 64 bit home premium.
I run most new titles just fine and all they all look very nice. Looking foward to upgrading to a AMD Phenom x6 1055T and a 5970 or one of the 6000 series. :)

haha that was what i was thinking myself earlier. I was like Direct x9 for now you say? nothing like making life easy. Dated but easy.
Be interesting to see what happens when they finally support dx11.

C2D 8500
2x 2GB RAM
GTX 580
SoundBlaster X-Fi Gamer soundcard
Logitec Z-5500 5.1 Speakers
Win7 Ultimate 64-bit
Monitor at 1920x1080
Nothing is OC'ed.
9th of April: Added Nvidia 3D Vision.

Running game at the Extreme graphics setting.
I don't know if I'll have to lower the setting as I've only played the first chapter where there aren't that many enemies running around.

Installed the game on my notebook:
i7 720QM
3x 2GB RAM
Ati Mobility HD 5870
17.3'' screen at 1920*1080
Win7 ULtimate 64-bit

Running game at the Extreme graphics setting.
Game seems to run a little more smooth than on my desktop. Likely caused by better CPU and more and faster RAM.

is it possible to patch a dx9 game to dx11 i dont think so, would it not be like putting a band aid on a festering wound.crytec/EA dropped the ball for money ,attention to detail in this game aint there.its just another shooter just my 5 cents worth.

Actually nothing too insane:

Dell Studio 17 Laptop
Intel Core i7 720QM
4Gb DDR3-1333 RAM
1Gb GDDR3 AMD Radeon Mob. 4650

1280x720, High Settings, no vsync, ~30-35fps (min. 24fps)

I'm pretty happy with that :3

But for when i finish building my DirectX11 capable rig, i'd like to have the DirectX 11 expansion patch out please Crytek! By mid-May, if you please!

Really enjoying the game so far though, ADORE the Hans Zimmer soundtrack yaaay thank you <3
