I found out what heartfire is about.

I haven't heard this before. I've only heard that DLC's would be more substantial and fewer this time. Do you have a source for this?

But this is Skyrim. They're taking hella long just to make the DLCs. I mean Dawnguard took 7 months to release, technically longer in some ways since PS3 STILL doesn't have it and thus it's obviously still taking up the time and attention of some Bethesda employees, just to get it set up for PS3. And they did say their goal was to make the DLC bigger and more expansion-like in Skyrim.

Both Fallouts got a DLC about every 3 months, both former TES games got an expansion after 6 months (if you count Knights of the Nine as an expansion, it being the exception if you don't). Oblivion's little plug-in content was released without any advertising or publicity really and cost like $2-$5.

Something's just odd with how the DLCs are running. Dawnguard is arguably inferior to Morrowind expansions but took longer to develop (though obviously that may be attributed to newer graphics and tech being harder to program) and even the Fallout DLCs seem to give Dawnguard a good run for it's money in terms of size, though they only took less than half the time to develop.

I'd estimate now that we'll see Hearthfire in December for obvious reasons, but if it really offers little beyond some house building which one dev designed in a single week, then wow, something's obviously wrong with Bethesda's management.

Yeah of course it is. And because the dlc is taking so long, they will probably be releasing small dlc's like this in between the bigger ones.

Yeah i know he said that,But the same guy that leaked Heartfire in a nutshell,it was just a picture of oblivion,it didnt look like skyrim to me,I think it was oblivion.Check it out http://i.imgur.com/i1D0j.jpg
http://www.reddit.com/r/skyrim/comments/xbx6u/the_next_dlc_hearthfire_in_a_nutshell/

So i dont believe it.

Thats exactly what i meant he used the Oblivion picture which most people know isn't skyrim to tell use were getting something similar to this house from Oblivion.

Rethan manor.
Hlaalu all the way.
Us Telvanni mage lords beg to differ.

Because after all Hlaalu are money hungry swine incapable of research or obtaining true power instead Great House Hlaalu panders to the empire.

As an old wizard that has survived the fall of the last of the three Great Houses I could very well grow a new tower over here in the frozen north in Skyrim.

Nah, I say we use some common sense and just disregard this info. It seems too silly to be legit, and this wouldn't be the first time there were false rumors spread about coming DLC; Dawnguard got it too.

I never got the impression we were getting smaller-sized DLCs. If someone wants to pull up the EXACT quote, I believe the implication was that we'd get smaller-sized updates, as in free releases like mounted combat and archery kill cams, from time to time.
Hearthfire BEING a DLC that's solely about building a house? I just don't see it happening without Bethesda getting laughed at and sales of the DLC going horribly, especially if they were to do a timed-exclusive for XBox with such a petty DLC.

People people, Todd said the dlc would be mixed size, some would be smaller tehn dawnguard, some would be bigger, and not all would cost the same.
Edit: And if this is true, I better be able to have slaves toil in the fields

Some smaller than Dawnguard? Why, from what I understand, it was pretty small to begin with. It is a mistake to make smaller DLCs

Meh I liked my Redoran stronghold
And I think this is good news if true, AS LONG as it is not over-priced. If this is like 400 or 500 microsoft points im very happy
I hope Hearthfire is not focused on a house and I hope its an actual expansion.

So far, I don't see it. Everything I've heard to date is that DLC's will be bigger this time and fewer. Just now searching that's again all I can find. The only comment I find about smaller is the idea that there will be small things for free in between the dlc's. Which I would say we're getting, things like mounted combat and such.

Sorry, I think this is just pure conspiracy hooey. :P

Dawnguard added alot of smaller stuff people might not notice, like the boat travel system, and all the New falmer stuff.

I have to agree I would say Dawnguard=Fallout DLCs.
It would be a mistake to go any smaller and still label the add on an expansion.
To me the game is just labeled an expansion when I think its more of a DLC a larger one sure but is this anywhere near Bloodmoon and Shivering Isles no. Also Tribunal was a big and far more interesting.

I hope so! We need content that goes beyond mods if they want decent Steam sales.

Nope, when that picture was released it was said to be telling us it was magic based. Or at least that's what his supporters said last time. :ahhh:

I thought he used that picture and tricked people into believing it is skyrim. Anyway,I hope next DLC is going to be a big one :/

as long as i get new and improved magic, or spell creation, im good, if not, im done with skyrim and will buy oblivionf or pc and mod the crap out of it until the nextTES comes out. The fact that they buffed every single type of character out there EXCEPT pure mages for Skyrim is RIDICULOus.

For example: http://www.x360magazine.com/general/skyrim-dlc-what-can-we-expect/

Key points: Fewer than Five DLC's like Fallout 3.
Feel more like Expansions
More substantial

Again, from what I've read I just don't see house mod.
