Not sure what the point of having a house will be if you still can't decorate it due to Skyrim's impossible physics.

I sorta doubt the claim simply based on this.

Building property and property alone? There's already a user-made mod for that. There's gotta be more to the DLC, otherwise it's laughably pathetic in size and will undoubtedly sell poorly.
Exactly. Its been tried and proven on the PC to be a good selling idea. The name Hearthfire also makes a lot more sense now...since a hearthfire is usually in the home.

But really, is that a "boat system"? Or is it just making a new texture of a boat and using the travel system from the carriages to transport you from one location to another?
Its the last for sure just a few things added as world filler which Sky needs by the way.

This here is a good system.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Transport

Also keep in mind there were the mages guild travel spots within each guild.

There was also spells that added to the travel levitation, mark/recall, Divine/Almsivi Intervention these was also sold as scrolls for use to non mages, jump/slowfall.
There was also acrobatics.

Please be true, would love to build a house in Skyrim, there are some beautiful locations where I'd love to live. Some magic related quests and some expansion on magic to go with it would be my dream DLC.

I don't know why people are against this idea. I personally would want my own cottage in the woods.
Actually i have always wanted to be able to build my house,I want to live in the wilderness,Its a good idea. But i hope this isnt the "major DLC" and i dont believe heartfire is going to be just about that, Why not name it build your own house add on.
Where did you get that pic, is it a mod?

As for the DLC, maybe it lets you build your own house, but maybe it's just a small neat addition, like remaking your face in Dawnguard.
I googled cyrodiil x3
Did you read the two replies i sen't to you?. I said he most likely used it to singify not say it was from skyrim, that some magic and house like things will be the focus of heartfire. He never said it was from Skyrim.
Yes i read it. But i dont believe him  even if he was right about the mass effect DLCs Doesnt mean he is right about this,I can say something like that too,And post a picture. and then say something like he said to you too

well;if it is true then i guess and hope this is just something we get while we wait for the "Big" expansion. And if this is true it means it wont take much time until we will get it. I guess..

Just because they said they'd like to do bigger DLC does not mean they won't still put out smaller, cheaper things like the ability to build a house.
It wouldn't take Bethesda much time to pick some overly vancant area of the map, or add in some new small area like the canyon where Fort Dawnguard is, and then just model a house in various stages there.

They released like five house DLCs for Oblivion, it's not something they wouldn't do for Skyrim.

This could also just be a minor feature of a bigger DLC, or even false information.

I think the DLC will have several main features, building modular houses being one of them. Just like becoming a Vampire Lord is one of the main features in Dawnguard yet it offers a lot more than just the Vampire Lord form.

One wold hope.
I would be okay with the idea of them added a bunch small, new features like new enemies or spears or areas a couple times a month for a cheaper proce while they work on a bigger DLC, because that would keep me interested in the game.
As it stands now, I played Skyrim for around two months, got bored, then didn't touch it again until Dawnguard came out, which is not a process I find enjoyable.

If this just turns out to be Bethesda asking me for five or ten dollars so I can build a house in Skyrim, I would rather they have released it sooner, because it obviously would not be as taxing a feature to add as something like the Forgotten Vale or the Soul Cairn was.
I'll buy it, because I'm a completionist, but I think the methods of Bethesda's DLC releasing are effective, these things should come out more quickly and with more frequency.

If this is true, I wonder how "extensive" these "building" options are.

If it's something that lets you build and customise a house wherever you like in Skyrim, I can see why it would take a while to code.

If you're not very happy with the DLC, just buy it a few months later, possibly in a sale. Usually the sales in the first days/weeks are weighed the most by marketing teams.

Not necessarily. They have to add the bugs first, and then they have to make sure it is not compatible with the PS3. ;)

I'd pay $5 for just a house mod, but again it is all but useless if they don't fix the physics so we can decorate things.
