Post » Fri Aug 17, 2012 9:50 pm

My friend over on Reddit , sent this to me. You all know that guy who leaked all the Mass Effect DLC's and who turned out right
then posted the picture of the Mages tower from Oblivion saying Heartfire in a nutshell ,well my friend asked him about in PM.
and this is the response now he could be lying take it with a grain of salt or it could be true.

Boy, you're persistent. I'm not in the mood for blatantly leaking stuff, so here's the official description via PM:
Hearthfire?, the next official game-add on for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim?, has arrived. For the first time in the Elder Scrolls universe, http://www.reddit.com/message/inbox/# land and build your own home from the ground up - from a simple one-room cottage to a sprawling compound complete with armory, alchemy laboratory, trophy room, and more! With Hearthfire, the possibilities of what you can build are endless.
Alright cheers sorry for the perstering. Im 37 btw haha. I just am Itching for Skyrim related news. That kind of svcks no big dlc for a while then.

If this is true, it goes back on the house building we saw in the Gamejam video. I am disappointing we won't be getting a big DLC .

Well it has been rumored to be magic related...

But seriously I hope its a big expansion that does add a lot of new features namely spell creation and more spells well all of the old spells.
Also being able to construct a house would be great I loved that in Morrowind and if its actually true you will be able to in Hearthfire if that is indeed the name they use, i hope there is a choice on what style of a place to build your home and it also be nice to choose a few different locations.

If this is true, it better be cheap. Also a little annoying that this is what we expected from Dawnguard, but oh well.

The appeal to PC players would likely be low, too, with the slew of free home mods already out there.

I would be disappointed if this was true. I was hoping for another landmass with another guild and quests. This id something that could be released in a patch.

I sorta doubt the claim simply based on this.

Building property and property alone? There's already a user-made mod for that. There's gotta be more to the DLC, otherwise it's laughably pathetic in size and will undoubtedly sell poorly.

True, doubt this is true because I do not think a house would be a good selling point for a new add on especially with the promise of big expansion like add ons and I expect or at least hope that people want an expansion like product. I also agree that if this is indeed legit its a pint sized joke of a game add on.

People people, Todd said the dlc would be mixed size, some would be smaller tehn dawnguard, some would be bigger, and not all would cost the same.
Edit: And if this is true, I better be able to have slaves toil in the fields

 The Great Prophet has spoken again!

So his first prophecy was that it would be magic based. Now the great prophet has foretold that it will be a house mod where you can buy land and build a house?

Sorry, I AM the prophesied one and I have said,

It will be a great dlc! It will vastly improve all the hearths and fires in Skyrim. All will give damage when you step into them and you shall now hear a roaring from the flames. This is what it shall be for it is Hearth... Fire.

Oy-vay,

With my big Telvanni wizard tower.
I would love to have those again Tel Uvirith was easily the best house in the vanilla games from Morrowind to Skyrim.

I haven't heard this before. I've only heard that DLC's would be more substantial and fewer this time. Do you have a source for this?

Have to see maybe 1.8 release, I wish they could include the extras in a expansion and focus on bugs with patches.

Not for consoles, and so was oblivion's.

But this is Skyrim. They're taking hella long just to make the DLCs. I mean Dawnguard took 7 months to release, technically longer in some ways since PS3 STILL doesn't have it and thus it's obviously still taking up the time and attention of some Bethesda employees, just to get it set up for PS3. And they did say their goal was to make the DLC bigger and more expansion-like in Skyrim.

Both Fallouts got a DLC about every 3 months, both former TES games got an expansion after 6 months (if you count Knights of the Nine as an expansion, it being the exception if you don't). Oblivion's little plug-in content was released without any advertising or publicity really and cost like $2-$5.

Something's just odd with how the DLCs are running. Dawnguard is arguably inferior to Morrowind expansions but took longer to develop (though obviously that may be attributed to newer graphics and tech being harder to program) and even the Fallout DLCs seem to give Dawnguard a good run for it's money in terms of size, though they only took less than half the time to develop.

I'd estimate now that we'll see Hearthfire in December for obvious reasons, but if it really offers little beyond some house building which one dev designed in a single week, then wow, something's obviously wrong with Bethesda's management.

Meh I liked my Redoran stronghold
And I think this is good news if true, AS LONG as it is not over-priced. If this is like 400 or 500 microsoft points im very happy
