Future DLC Suggestions (Not Dawnguard) - Thread #2

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 6:59 am

As bits and pieces, I'd like to see:
  • Grey Cowl of Nocturnal (visually improved, like all the other artifacts that return)
  • The Crusader's Relics (or something similar)
  • Goldbrand
  • Umbra
  • Cloaks (I believe there's a PC mod for this)
  • A full set of silver weapons that you can improve
  • Something to make the Ebony blade better; capability to improve it, have it use the right perks/skill tree, some way of tracking the absorb health enchantment
  • Ability to improve weapons that can't be improved right now; Keening, the Ebony Blade (as above), Skyforge steel dagger (WTF?), silver weapons (as above)
  • Some more cool weapons and armour (although Dawnguard sounds and looks very promising for this)
As story driven DLC:
  • Something about trying to drive the Thalmor out (so many people want this)
  • Something about the Psijic Order
  • Something about the Dwemer and/or Falmer
And I'm still trying to think of more stuff...

I want something that heavily leans on magic. More importantly is the need for Magic Gloves to be added.

Peope would misuse that... cottage, village, town, city... over and over; Skyrim would end up being one, big metropolis. Plus it'd probably be seriously difficult for the devs to do that... In Red Dead Redemption, you could set up a fire, but not anywhere.

Or a rouge who can sneak about, and brutally maul anything if he gets caught...

Another great war, depending on the side you picked in the vanilla game. And in that, we should be allowed to join the Thalmor if we want. I'm picturing large scale battles, not thousands, just maybe 50 on each side. ACIII can do it. Why can't Bethesda?

Just cause of everything that's running, each character has their own made up AI, plus all the textures and everything else when you have a lot of people on the screen it lags, but if you have a super computer your good. Some people with advanced computers put hundreds of characters on the screen, but the Consoles can't handle it. But I agree some bigger battles would be nice, and if not bigger more dynamic or something, not just go take this fortress here and there, and you win Skyrim, open field battles and stuff would be nice.

I second toggle headgear visibility.

An essential (or near essential) horse that my goody two shoes PC can obtain without committing crimes. Just a normal looking horse please.

The ability to take on Maven Blackbriar. Possibly team up with Mjoll and clean up Riften once and for all.

I think it would be cool if their were more NPC's available for marraige.

Married Dovahkin can adopt or have children. The ultimate would be getting to "make" your child, such as a character creation screen pops up when we decide to have a baby and we get to decide race, looks, and name them.

I've said this before in another thread but I wanna see more of my dear Uncle Sanguine.
:foodndrink:

ALTHOUGH! I've had another idea... I want to see/hear more of the ancient magic the Forsworn use. Something dark with lots of Hagravens in.

I agree with this!
These are high on my wish-list because I want to play with all aspects of my Dovahkiin's life, not just the adventuring.
There is at least one mod which allows you to adopt from the orphanage but I'd much prefer it to be officially implemented.

I kind of feel like if you are going to bother adding marriage to a game then you should flesh it out.

I would like for crafting to recieve some attention. Breaking down items into ingots, being able to make parts of a weapon so we can further customize swords ie: making a orichalcum blade, iron hilt etc., weapon and armor degradation. I also wouldn't mind seeing Bethesda take some ideas from Vagrant Story one of my favorite crafting systems in a single player games.

I tend to craft a whole lot of [censored].

Sorry... what? Choose race? Only if you adopt, right...?

As a current Console user the best DLC would be able to opt in for at least the console command prompt. At least then I could fix some oh so many minor bugs.... like quest items getting stuck in my inventory. ect. Shouldn't be difficult to do. Just initiate Trophy/Achievement turn off on the command prompt. Many other developers have done something similar. I say this because I don't have much confidence in Bethesda to fix all of it. Especially now that DLC is in high gear.

As for more DLC.

1.)Warriors and Thieves/Assasins are feeling the love with the Whole Vampire Lord/Werewolf perk system. Show some love for the Magic users. For starters actually balance the magic system. Next tie in some semblance of a good finishing story arch for the mages guild. That questline was horrible and needs to be extended and concluded properly. As above for the VL/Werewolf transformation come up with some very creative for mages. I don't care if it's cliche but the Archon Transform for mages that truly want to unleash hell would be awesome. Maybe Hearthfire will address this but who knows.

I personally think that mages are given the short end of the stick in this game. Some of the master spells are way too weak and i think they should be more EPIC. One of the best games i played as a mage was Dragon Age: Origins. The ability to combine spells like Inferno, Tempest and blizzard to create one huge uber spell {STORM OF THE CENTURY] was incredible.

Also i second the idea of adding spears. If Bethesda does add this in, they should also include the ability to either dual wield or one hand it [i.e. spear in as two handed for max damage or spear-shield combo like a spartan]. This should also be applied to mage staves [staff two handed version= ability to block and strength of magic on weapon increases, ONE HANDED version= same as now but maybe add a defensive maneuver kinda like TWO WORLDS.

I second about the College of Winterhold quest line, i feel it was building up then ball dropped on how it ends. As far as transformations go, i do believe werewolf=more warrior sided & VL=more thief/assassin/sneak style..... Mages are left out again, even with recently released mounted combat. It would be nice to see mages get like a Lich transformation or Arcane Lord.... add in the ability to join Thalmor or bring in the Psyjic Order as a playable faction.

Last, i don't think adding console commands would benefit for console players due to the extraneous amount of bugs/glitches and the overall power of the xbox/ps3. I foresee a lot of game freezing and game breaking issues happening with this. Just add in cloaks/capes with the use of some of the useless crap in the game [Yes, i'm talking to you LINEN WRAPS!!] and decent storyline as far as maybe Thalmor vs Psyjic order with some new spells , i think we would be looking at a welcoming edition of DLC to this great game.

There, I'm done :yuck:

Indoril armor.

More Daedric artifacts. A lot more Daedric artifacts... I thought Skyrim lacked unique looking weapons and armor. I want one-of-a-kind items. Especially bows. I really thought there was a lack of unique bows.

Spears.

The Arena. Or something like it. I miss the Arena.

Mounted magic combat and shouts. I want to use my bound bow on horseback.

War with the Thalmor.

I was thinking if you adopt, the child could be one chosen at Honor Hall Orphanage or found and rescued during an adventure... and already created character.
If you and your spouse have a child, you could use the character creation screen. You could wait so many in-game days and go home to your child who is the same age as if adopting. (I am not talking about raising a baby "The Sims" style). The chosing race would depend you and your spouse, as biological children tend to favor the mother, according to the lore (Notes on Racial Phylogeny).

I would really like the opportunity to build my own house, I don't like the ones available in the game...
This. I want my house to be in Falkreath or slightly outside. I love the pine forest.

Hi Bigbossbalrog. What gives?

Eye patches?

That'd be cool if you'd be willing to overlook the loss of stereoscopic vision...
