They do explain it pretty well in the lore.

An I would be disappointed if the next one was about Dwemer. (I want the mystery)


With that said, there are countless Threads about the possibilities of Dwemer and Future DLC. Search for them before you create a new Thread.

You know, for me, part of the allure of the Dwemer is because of how mysterious they are. If a DLC came out that delved into how everything happened to the Dwemer and where they went, they would lose that allure. I wouldn't mind some more references to the Dwemer in a DLC, maybe a few snippets of some history, but a full blown DLC about them might just ruin what I like most regarding the Dwemer.

Much rather have a magic focus dlc which gives that whole system an overhaul. There can be some new dwelmer dungions, goodies, and lore added in a falmer focused dlc - which could also then improve upon a race of enemies which we would be able to encounter outside of the dlc rather than a race we'll only see in the dlc's main quest.

im with on the mystery part. the dwemer are badass though. they almost created there own [censored]in god. or did they im not sure i should look it up now

This thread literally about pissed me off about as much as a Yahoo article does. Misleading title, how dare you. :| Either way, the lore pretty much sums up what happened to them and I'm a big fan of things being left mysterious.

Let's hope we'll see some lands outsside Skyrim. And no, not another pocket Oblivion plane. First they tease us with those gates to the other lands/province, then they'll let them go unused?

The thalmor
The thalmor are invading Skyrim, your objective is to destroy all the thalmor ships and forts, this dlc would be available after you've completed either the imperial legion or the stormcloak questlines, in this dlc wolud include you being able to command large groups of soldiers, being able to shot ships and fortresses with catapults and ballistas and being able to do some naval warfare, the dlc could also include storms, which would make large waves, this could make it fatal if you fall overboard, the waves could also drain you fatigue and if you swim for to long you will sink and drown.

I'll repost something I wrote on another thread.

Our lone nvde Khajiit walks through a dark nordic ruin. The scent of death lingers in the air and....a smidge of our hero's heroic Scent Marking.
He see a hall way. With a trip wire NO two trip wires! Double wire.... What does this mean? Our hero ponders a way to solve this mysterious puzzle.

It seems Sai is on our hero's shoulder again. His furry feline Khajiit wife (one of the small house cat sized ones, don't ask about how they managed to mate)
Began to give birth. Inside of his backpack. It is beautiful. And idea strike our hero! He grabs one of the newly born kits. He rolls it past the trip wires.
Unfortunatly, it seems the tripwires were made of razor wire. And the kit was sliced in two. But just as our hero previously assumed. It set off a swinging-axe trap.
He wonders, is this a true trap? Or some sort of illusion or facade to deter treasure hunters? Our hero hatches another glorious plan.
He grabs another 3 of his new kits.
He tossed one. Swoosh. Pop. Yup. Axe number one is real. Our Naked Khajiit it going to need a bath. Now, number two. He plans it precisely. Missing axe number one but hitting number two. It appears number two was a fake. But his kit was thrown against a wall which was covered in a rune. Our hero hops past the two axes effortlessly. Grabbing his new a little bit burnt snack. Then he has one kitten left. He throws it past the two axes. It hits the third. The kitten, seeing the fate of the other two and just being a total baddass in general turns into a dragon. It appears our hero's father was correct. His mother wasn't faithful. And made sweet sweet love with Alduin by using an Elder Scroll. Guess that explain him being 'Dragonborne'. It soon is apprant this is no ordinary dragon. But a were-shark dragon. A tiny one though. It flops about like a Slaughterfish out of water. Our hero, being moved by this being will to survive throws his wife at it. The fish them begans to swim in a small pool of blood. Our hero takes out a bottle of water and pick it up. Being bitten in the process. It was a little bite....it won't turn him...will it? He puts hit Child in the water. And jumps past the third axe. Finishing the Ruin. He finds a dragon word of power. "Fishstick of approval" Perfect. He leaves the ruin...seeing the full moon is almost at its apex. He runs to the Sea of ghosts. He can feel himself growing a fin. He throws himself in the water just as he turns into a Magical-baddass-draconic-furry khajiit-scent-marking-wereshark. He and his child swim the oceans. Wreaking havoc where ever they go
.

3. More mythic stuff with Oblivion

I love the world of skyrim, but it lacks in oblivion realms. Perhaps adding a new plane of Oblivion, where the dragonborn is trapped and he must escape.

I would love to see all the realms of the other daeric princes. (outside dagon as his realm is sealed off according to oblivion story line)

personaly Id love to see Azura and nocturnals realms and a return to sheogoraths of course maybe a "what happen" after shivering isles.

Personally Id love to return to morrowind since we only saw the isle not the boarding land where mournhold is located and only seen mornhold, i would like to see what happen after red moutain erupted pompii style.

maybe a story of finding out what happen to all the hero of the elder scrolls like what happen to the nevarine? what happen to the savior in oblivion. maybe find thier crypts and loot based on gear from those games.

Id also love dlc for khajiit maybe go to elswyr or maybe go to one of the other contents like akivir (sp) or the main region of the aldimeri dominion.

Mostly i would like to go to morrowind as there are a TON of tie ins.
1 you see the gate leading to morrowind.
2 during a quest line there is a "hint" that the heart of lokhan is in a massive dwemer cube (nice prank guys i nearly shii myself if it was actually in there)
3 tons of reffugees from morrowind
4 talk of the past factions from morrowind
5 mentioning of the tools of keening and sunder and lokhan (big part of the main story)

i found it odd that in oblivion nothing of morrowind was mentioned. But in skyrim you can't walk for with out seeing a morrowind tie in.

I'm also curious as to the tower that talks of the refugees of morrowind. there is a book next to it also. kinda weirded me out it was there.

I personally would like to get to know more about the Falmer and Dwemer myself. My favorite caves to explore are Dwemer ruins. Dwarf's have been missing from Tamriel for a long time. So there is already a lot of mystery there. You can't walk into a Dwemer ruin and not wonder what it was like when Dwarf's inhabited them. Their creations alone only add to my curiosity.

Thank you moderators for sending me to this thread. One thing id like to see is an extension for mages. I feel like the colleges quest line wasnt fulfilling enough. Also better spells for higher level mages. And then last but not least maybe an option for the player to not only resist the imperials and the stormcloaks but maybe to resist both and take the thrown for your self. I realized today that the jagged crown is really cool and it should be an option for the player to take the throne for his or herself as opposed to helping NPC's take the throne. Im sure plenty of people agree with that one.

Content:
-Grahl.

-Rieklings.

-Tusked Bristlebacks.

-Plague animaies.

-Rideable dragons.

-Arrow crafting/forging.

-I want the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch as an easter egg.

-More playable races from the lore and new ones like a Wolf race.

-Armor customizing. Like adding Wolf pelts on my Daedric armor.

Suggestions:
-If I kill a Guard my fine should be larger than that of killing a normal citizen.

-If I kill a Gurad after I pay the fine, or go to jail. The Guards should be hostole towards me. They shouldn't forget that I killd one of them.

-Have a real stolen item system. I should be able to sell stoleing items to any shopkepper without the perk. If I sell the stolen item to the person who I stole it from. They would attack me, or get a Guard to arrest me.

It would be strange to have such DLC, because you play as dragonborn.
So if you finished the main quest, what coudl they possibly do more about the whole "dragonborn thing"?
