Future DLC Suggestions (Not Dawnguard) - Thread #4

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 4:06 pm

I don't think we've gotten any of it. I personally would like more Jygalagg or something with ghost and ship wrecks.
Jygalagg would be nice, since he is pretty unexplored lore wise.

I want more of him because with Shivering Isles they shot themselves in the foot. Either Sheogorath in Skyrim is the player character from Oblivion or not, which makes Shivering isles non-cannon

I need a trophy hall(s) full of armor stands, pedistalls like the ones found in the museum of oddities with glass boxes, glass cases, shelves and wall spaces
all that work like skyrim book shelfs - eg) you open the pedistall's inventory, place an item and it shows up on top- then cannot be knocked off ( unlike stuff on table tops that end up on the floor) so all the suff you get throughout the game can be nicely desplayed in one place rather than in different houses and chests.
You sir are my friend now, ive wanted this for ever!

I but everyone that owns Skyrim has played as a Vampire or a werewolf at some point.
No, never played as a vampire, never will. My time as werewolf was very brief as well and only because I was forced into being one by the Companion quest.

UGH if there going to due a DLC with a underwater city, they should not do a cliched greek mythology rip off, it should a black, "monolith" , slimy, and abyssal, thing from nightmare, with ancient horrors that cannot be slain, similar to Ryleah from The Cthulhu mythos.

maybe it could be a mixing of classical greek mythology and Lovecraftian themes, wouldn't that be interesting?

False. Skyrim is based off of Elder Scrolls lore and is in a different universe.

The Nords are clearly inspired by Scandanavian cultures, it's obvious from the names to the accents to the architecture. the imperials look and act a lot like romans, especially the uniforms, names, and cultural structure. the Redguards style of dress and language is very similar to middleeastern and northern african cultures. the bretons show strong celtic tribal influences. Khajiits may as well be gypsies. Morrowind's Dunmer culture reminded me a lot of the medeival middle east, B.C.E. near east and ancient central asian regions such as mongolia and afghanistan. dragons, trolls, elves, dwarves, giants, witches, vampires, werewolves all come from european folklore.

yeah, different universe but a universe created by people who take inspiration from our own unverse.

what's interesting and unique about it all is that it's like our universe broken into pieces and put back together differently.

After that a war breacks out between the two sides of the guild and you can decied to join the side that honers the way of nature or the side that wants true power.

I'd much rather having something to do with a ship graveyard and maybe the Nord homeland across the sea of ghosts. I have the underwater shipwreck scene from James and the Giant Peach stuck in my head.

As I once said, it would be amazing if while traveling through Skyrim, the hero suddenly hears a great deep voice shout out to him/her. Their gaze is pulled to the sky, where the clouds are now swirling counter-clockwise and a weird light is shooting from the formations center. Suddenly, the light intensifies and the hero feels a strong shutter across the land. Ysgramor is standing there in front of the Hero, and he tells him that something is very wrong in Sovngarde and that they need his help.[Hero has the choice to go immediately or to hold off a bit.] Once the hero has chosen to go to Sovngarde, he goes to a hidden Shrine of Shor, where he can then be teleported and is granted the 'Blessing of A Warrior God' this blessing gives the hero a 40% cool down on shouts rather then a 20%.

Now the hero lands at the foot of the bridge that leads to the Hall of Valor. But, a strange mist rests eerily at the other end, and as the hero approaches, he is slowed down by a frost effect. Three frost giants exit the deep white mist, one of them wears a heavy set of armor and carries a blue icy version of a glass warhammer, the other two wear the standard frost giant garb. The giant in the armor slams his hammer against the bridge and destroys it, and as you tumble, the words, 'Entering [Name Skyrim's version of Jotunheimr].' The hero would then awake in a pile of snow-covered nordic corpses, all of them dawning the Ancient Nord Armor in its Hero Nord form.

being able to travel to Atmora, make the place filled with content like the shivering isles, but before you can even get there, you need to buy yourself a ship

I would love to go there but as I said before, i'd like a ship graveyard and the dragonborn is sent to find out why so many ships have disappeared after leaving Solitude's harbor. They could have all types of ships there, from thalmor to Dwemer to akarvi, maybe some snow elf ships.

No I want more Jygalagg, the fact he is absent in every way from Skyrim calls into question SI's canon

Yes but in Shivering Isles the hero breaks the cycle and frees Jygalagg, if that didn't happen then that means SI is non-canon

Well then i'd like to see the emergence of Wendigos. I mean Namira is the patron of cannibals.
