Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 5:19 pm

if i had to choose what is going to be the next dlc i think it would have to be something about the great collapse or why atmora is frozen or maybe something about shor, the underking or talos

I have been thinking about this for a while and i think it would be cool if after the civil war is over the winning side mounts an expidition to atmora to collect artifacts but while the player is there a mysterious portal to the plane that the dwemer disapered to but the players race cant go through the portal without going through a change so the player will have to choose from two new races birdmen and dwemer but when you go back through the portal to tamriel the player reverts back to their original race. In the plane that the player goes to there is a war between the dwemer who wish to build a god and destroy tamriel and the birdmen who wish to stop them you can side with either one. There would be new weapons like spears for the dwemer and the ability to fly for the birdmen although as a birdman you have to wear loght armour to fly.
Replys and suggestions are welcome
Thanks!
oh and you will be able to design and create your own dwemer automatons from spare parts and ingots

Besides mods. I play in the x-box 360. I want to see in the next DLC is to build your own house in Winterhold, Morthal, Falkreath and Dawnstar. Also build your own castle and keep many companions and NPCs working in your castle.

@ Verbose

Well, I would love anything that you have thought. Lore wise, fasinating, well thought. But I don't think Betheseda think that way, they will just add something they see last day in Tv/cinema, at least that is partwise my expression of Dawnguard.

Definitely like the idea of patching in underwater combat. I'm pretty certain we could do it in Oblivion, so why would they take it out for Skyrim? Also, patching in first-person view for horseback, beast form, and vamp lord form would be a welcome addition for those of us who don't like third-person. And anything to do with the Daedric lords different realms is always fun.

It definitely needs to be something to do with the Thalmor, snow elves, or dwemer or all three. It seems as though in the story line of the vanilla game, they were hinting pretty heavily toward the continuation of these story lines.

It doesn't have to be Skyrim related but since we are playing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim it would be nice it has something to do with it. So what I personally can think of:

* A new hold with new towns and special dungeons. Giving you the option to become Jarl of this hold eventually. Then when on your throne, you can decide about certain problems regarding your hold. Maybe appoint specific smiths, alchemist and so one. And the most important fact, upgrade your own castle!

* More DLC about those sunken ships we can all find around Skyrim.

* DLC specifically around Giants, maybe even meeting one giant or a few who can speak and have secret meetings (like those Elks in Lord Of The Rings).

* DLC giving more quests about murders and murderers like the one in Windhelm.

I think the next dlc will take place in Hammerfell and you try to find out why the Thalmor wanted Hammerfell so much and to have them help the Stormcloaks or the Empire in the next war with the Thalmor

Probably the same reason they wanted to take over the rest of Tamriel?

I like all of Verbose's ideas. Would pay for some of those ideas, especially if they were expansion size. Just no war with the thalmor or return of the dwemer DLC.

I think one of the new DLCs should a compelling antagonist. There hasn't really been a decent one in the entire vanilla game or Dawnguard. Alduin has like 5 lines directed at you in the entire game, and goes down pretty easily considering that he's supposed to be the menacing world eater who slaps everybody around. Harkon is better, but ultimately has the same problem, they don't develop his character in a way that makes him seem menacing, and once you have Auriel's bow the fight against Harkon that could be a bit difficult becomes easy.

Skyrim should take a page out of NV's book when it come to villians. You get fed information throughout the game about how brutal and tough Legate Lanius is ( blinds his slaves so they can't see his face, conquered colorado, kills his officers for failure, ect.), and he turns out to be a pretty tough fight as well. Ulysses is even better, the game builds up to him showing up throughout all of the DLCs and the vanilla game. He's set up to be the Moriarty to your Holmes, some one who could give you a run for your money, in combat and intellect.

It feels like Skyrim really needs a new area as well.

The player recivies a vision from the spirit of the hero of the oblivion crisis telling the player to travel to all the realms of all the deadric princes to collect all the fragments of the imperial dragon armour, a sword and a greatsword of great power.

I would like to see future DLC to involve some, if not all of the following...

Magic - The Skyrim magic system is excellent, I love the fact there are different types of projectiles, and the runes add a special little something. So what do I want to see in a DLC? Expanded content.
  • More spells - A return of the spells they discarded (Feather, Open Lock, Water Breathing), why discard them?
  • Levelled destruction magic - I don't need to go into detail with this one, it's a simple request.
  • College of Winterhold - This guild was quite frankly pathetic, I want to see a DLC focused on some content for mages.
Items - A small DLC similar to Fallout: New Vegas' Gun Runner's Arsenal. Just add items, more robes for mages, more sets of armour, more crossbows, a return of short swords, some decent helmets, maybe even spears? There doesn't need to be quests content for this DLC, just add items so our Dragonborn can be unique.

Race Specific Quests - This may seem like a strange request, but I think something should be added that will change the game for each race.
  • High Elf - The Thalmor contact you, an early opportunity to join the Thalmor and gain access to a whole different side of the war.
  • Redguard - When you meet the Alik'r for the first time, you have an opportunity to join them and open up a new guild.
These are examples of what I am suggesting, the other races will offer similar bonus quests, the Nords will have an expanded Stormcloak questline and the Imperials will have an expanded Imperial Legion questline.

I just feel like Skyrim isn't noticing the fact that I'm an outsider, yes you get the odd comment, but nothing other than that.

solsteim would be good, with a werewolf questline like dawnguard either join a clan of werewolfs or the hunters.

Great War II

Stormcloaks and the Empire Team up to take out the Thalmor while going back in time to get more allies and Artifacts to win the War. Like going back to when Snow Elfs were still a Alive race and having some of them come to the present time to help fight their evil cousins the High Elfs. While we go back to meet the Dwemer and gain some artifacts. Just an idea for it :D
