GOG has http://www.gog.com/promo/might_magic_universe_2 half price for this weekend. I actually stumbled across it looking for the Heroes of M&M 2 demo so I could play with the http://sourceforge.net/projects/fheroes2/ (which runs native on GNU/Linux). But this is better; I'll be able to play the whole game, and I picked up HoM&M3 to boot.

Is Might and Magic more RPG or more Strategy? It looks a little of both, and I've heard they are really really fun. I'm looking to get 3 and 6, for reference, as I've heard they are some of the best.

Heroes of Might & Magic is a turn-based strategy series (with some RPG elements), Might & Magic is an RPG series.

Hmm, well I have been looking at Heroes of Might and Magic then, not Might and Magic. Are both worth getting, or what?

I heard the third Heroes of Might and Magic is the best one.

I decided to pick up Crysis 2. I had a lot of fun with the first one as well as Warhead. I've played the multiplayer beta and it was one of the more unique online shooters. My question is - Does anyone play it anymore?

Third Heroes is the best, but looks crappy these days. Six is a very solid game, I'd take that over three. But with the prices on GOG, I'd just take both of them.

I don't know, I think Heroes III aged pretty well graphically, for a 1999 game. It has a nice style to it.

I've never really gotten into the third game for it's graphics style. It's really busy and tends to give me headaches

I don't care about graphics much, so Heroes III is still very playable. I agree with your comment about the style, it keeps the game from looking too bad. I'd still just pick both III and six from GOG, since they don't cost much.

Do you guys have an opinion on Mount and Blade collection on Steam? It is $7.50 but I would probably only play it single player anyways. I got soem opinions telling me for single player only it isn't worth it but figured I would ask some more as the game doesn't jump out at me as something I would be super interested in but if it is well worth it I may pick it up.

I am also wondering about the All Zombies Must Die series of games. Is it like Bunch of Heroes, because that game is pretty terrible.

I heard there are very good exclusive mods for Mount&Blade. And Warband is a very good game in my opinion and note that there are good mods for Warband too. I love single player Warband and I have yet to try multiplayer, so I can't say.

I would get the collection because I usually use mods and I like to try them. If mod isn't your cup of tea, then I think you should get Warband only.

I can't speak of Fire&Sword, I have it but I didn't played it yet.

with fire and sword is pretty good if you like co-op online battles against the AI (and muskets..). Warband is awesome in both multi and SP.

Edit: That's an incredible brief summary. Warband should have won GOTY 2010 if my opinion ruled. I've sunk 500+ hours in it.

It is Ubisoft week and SquareEnix weekend on GamersGate.

Looks like most Ubi games are 30% off (not cheap enough for me with their [censored] DRM); Ass Creed Rev is 50% off.

Most if not all SquareEnix games are 75% off including Deus EX:HR, Tomb Raiders games and Just Cause games.

Daily deal on Steam is Hoard. It is under $3 for the game and all DLC, so I was wondering if anyone had tried it and how it was if so.

Considering picking up the http://store.steampowered.com/sub/8029/ for $7.50

What do you think, is it worth it if I didn't enjoy single player warband much?

When playing warband, the mounted combat was great, but I disliked the inventory system and after a while the game seemed to be grow repetitive as all I was doing was entering tournaments and picking up the same quests from various castles.

Buy it and get the mod cRPG...you won't stop playing
Let me know if you do

edit: cRPG is for Warband, so if you already own it the first one is not as good.

I don't think it's worth it's then. The original Mount & Blade is basically just a downgraded Warband with no multiplayer anyway.
