so, has anything happened in Skyrim that made you go 'wtf?'
give us a short paragraph, or an epic tale, whatever you like!

Like Jabberdave, I'm seeing floating weapons for just about every enemy nowadays. I thought it was a consequence of mods, but perhaps not if other people are seeing it too. Strange thing is, when I used to get the odd floating weapon before, walking into it would 'activate' it and make them drop to the ground. Now I just float through them.

I also keep encountering naked-except-for-loincloth-and-helmet legates who are encouraging me to join the Imperial Legion. (pretty sure this is a mods fault) Erm, perhaps not if you can't even afford proper armour

Floating weapons lately for me too. So far no naked Imperials.

My naked person is the courier. It kind of freaks me out and I don't want to touch the letter he's delivering. :shudder:

Only one I've had recently is my Khajiit, Sher Khan, had just left Dawnstar heading towards Solitude. I rounded a corner and suddenly sa dead Dragon drops out of the sky and kills me...

I guess I really pissed off Alduin if he's killing his own kin and throwing them at me.

Like when Dr Girlfriend produces that list of "ground rules".

No glitch or whatever, but seeing the headless horseman ride at night was trully a 'wtf' and 'awesome' moment.

The only recent 'wtf' moment I had was when I walked into a kettle and it killed me and shot me up into the air... Never had that happen before.

I've walked into things like that and they were 'kicked' across the floor causing me to receive damage, but I've never been killed.

Epic kettle is epic.

I met the Companions near solitude. They acted like they were in whiterun.

When clearing up whiterun by killing obnoxious people, the pay fine get of fine thing did'nt work constantly. The guards kept fighting me after paying when I killed Heimskr. One time they asked for payment a second time while others attacked me.
I paid off fines for Maiden-Loom biatch and Nazeem, and they started asking me if I'd seen anything. When I just paid them off.
Morons.
Heimskr will die, publicly, whatever it takes.

Then I was punching out Rollf in a brawl, and Elda ran in with a dagger like I was attacking him.

1. While I was looting a bandit marauder's body, I noticed that his eyes were still blinking and shifting all over the place.
2. Whenever I approach a giant camp, I always see a mammoth falling from the sky, land on top of the other mammoth's back feet first, and then proceed to fall over dead.
3. I came upon a group of Thalmor agents leading a prisoner away when suddenly an Elder dragon attacked. They did some significant damage to the dragon, so that was great. Only until I finished off the dragon did I notice that all three of the Thalmor agents died, leaving the prisoner free to do as he pleased. To make the situation even funnier, the prisoner walked up to the Thalmor mage and muttered something along the lines of, "What a shame."

This is just a mild wtf, maybe just a "what? hmm."

After hundreds and hundreds of hours spent outside Warmaiden's, one day --- besides Adrienne outside --- there was a guy shoveling ore and generally being busy about the place.
Had NO idea who he was, looked like some kind of apprentice. Acting completely normal and hard-working, it could be my Skyrim-soaked brain but I think he even smiled at me.
Haven't seen him since.


Also, just did Blackreach again.... there were 2 crimson nirnroot that showed the "take" option on rollover, and I heard the clicking take-sound, but I couldn't grab them. I still came away with 43, but that never happened before.

Lydia asking me 'You lost?' every time I walk into Breezehome. I OWN this house [censored], I employ you.

Saw a low-flying spider today. Not dropping from the sky like normal, not hit by a giant. I was actually about to snipe it with an arrow when it just took off and flew through the trees at a leisurely pace before landing abruptly and vanishing.

Skyrim is one big series of WTF moments when I start thinking about it.

Most epic crazy battle I had was about 5 minutes after installing Deadly Dragons - I'd just annoyed a wispmother when three new dragons came by to join the party D:
Took myself and two followers about 20 minutes to prevail, though they spent most of the time disabled while I kept backing into dragons running away from the one I could see. I was surprised the forest was still standing after the rain of meteors, fire, ice and lightning that rained down upon it. It was on a steep hill too, anyone travelling behind us would have met several dragon corpses bobsledding down the hill towards them .

I killed another ancient dragon at the Mages College...Usually I try to lead them away from town before I shout them down, cause I don't want any Named NPCs dying, but this one plopped down right in the center of the College in front of the statue so it died there. The next morning when I came out of the Archmage's chambers there was a blizzard howling that actually lifted the bones and moved them across the courtyard. For a minute I thought it was somehow ressurrecting and coming back to life as an undead bone version of itself, but no...It was just a Dragonbone Ground Kite.

After helping Sinding kill all the hunters after him (to get hircine's ring uncursed for myself), He literally followed me outside while I was talking to hircine's avatar and he's now walking down the road in full werewolf form. Even passed by a nobleman and his imperial guard and no one even batted an eye at him. O.o

Will see where this leads...

Mine was while following Barbas to his masters shrine, all of a sudden i saw Sinding still in full werewolf form taking a stroll, funny thing is : My character killed him a couple of hours earlier in bloated mans grotto. While i'm thinking about it, i can recall doing the speech trick in black briar meadory with that elf barman, when all of a sudden Maven Black Briar herself was standing right behind him glaring at my character while the barman was doing his warning speech.

I just found the tavern clothes outfit on a dead girl! I thought that outfit was only unlockable using the PC console commands.

Nah, there's always a set in Liar's Retreat (maybe where you got them).

Yep, that's where I got it. I read on some forum or another shortly after skyrim launched that they were only available using console commands. So, can imagine my suprise when I found 'em.

Off to sleaze it up in the bannered mare in my new threads.

You could also loot them from at least one npc, probably more.

I don't know its a wtf moment. It maybe a mod I have. Radiance mod.
It happened after the battle of Whiterun and on my way to report in. My character just pass the legion fort and from a distance six figures coming towards my character. The Penitus Oculatus. My character has a bit of history concerning them. They are going for the kill. My charcter kill one of them and turn around and headed towards the fort to buy some time. As my character passes the gate, the legion soldiers are pointing their bows, oh great my character is going to cop it. They are pointing their bows pass my character and shooting at the Penitus Oculatus and the fighting started. The legion soldiers won.

Now that you mention it I think I did get a set from her, but she was in that 'other' place. I have a few sets enchanted in different ways - I replicated them on mannequins.

There's a mod that adds some enchantments to the game, with the items available at certain merchants to purchase and disenchant. I'm fine with the vanilla enchantments, but had to try, you know. Bought the armor enchanted with flame cloak. So I'm just walking down the road and...

I SET AN INNOCENT BUNNY ON FIRE!!!

He just hopped on by to help guide me on my way and then he was on fire! I literally freaked right the hell out. I mean, you would have thought this was happening for real by my reaction.

Even Daedric artifacts do not kill bunnies.

RELOAD.

I spotted an Imperial courier in Riften today. Needless to say, a couple of guards attacked him.

Then Maven Blackbriar attacked the guards.

She killed one and came charging after the second. He blocked her dagger, smacked her with his mace and returned to his calm 'everything's normal' guard position while Maven lay on the ground recovering. A few seconds later, she was back up for more.

I watched one satisfying minute of Maven getting pounded on the head like a whack-a-mole.
