Has Bethesda lost touch, or have I?

For the record when Skyrim came out I also recall a lot of threads asking why it wasn't in the game.

There was a week right after the Game jam video came out that all you saw where threads consisting of " Why wasn't this included in the vanilla game...? " for everything that was shown in the Game jam video, and now that Beth are giving us what we wanted there's complaints

Possibly because they were a little busy completing a huge map, interactivity to the world, dragons, enchanting, smithing, alchemy, kill cams, magic. random ingredients in nature, being able to access every building in the game. What RPG rivals Skyrim for that much of an interactive world? they also had a deadline about a year before the game came out.

Yes, I remember back then some folks were asking about building your own home. Even though I don't like Skyrim(sadly), and haven't played this dlc, I like what Beth has done. Building you home is so immersive for rpg. We like to change our hair, skin color, clothing, etc. Why not build your own home and give a new upgrade once in awhile? What I'm upset about is that Beth didn't implement this in the vanilla game in the first place.
