I thought they said they wouldn't do the Horse Armour thing again? Effectively what this is a player made mod given the 'Official' tag and sold for $5.

And c'mon, SKEEVERS?

The trailer makes it look like the only style available to build your house in is the whiterun style, will other styles be available such as solitude style? Will the house have a limited amount of creation space/memory in a similar style to sims? Also will it be as easy to build stuff as in sims?

Will I'm sure this is of value to console players I fail to see what you are getting for your money on the PC. I already have a home I constructed, my main house is floating Dwemer Airship and I have another home I carry around in my inventory.

Yeah, I think this is a waste to pc users, but for consolers this is a dream come true.

for a trailer i thought they'd atleast show a few types of houses. All the houses were the same one.

i laughed out loud when i read this, its so true.

In fairness it DOES look well-polished for what it does, so at least it looks like effort was put into it.

But it just seems so....I got here cause a friend of mine on Steam messaged me with a link and said "great, like Skyrim needed more menial tasks to complete," which is just so true. Hearthfire-style DLC might work with the right game, but not Skyrim, imo. Skyrim has plenty of menial tasks already, it doesn't need more. They might as well've released a DLC that does nothing but add more radiant quests...If and when Skyrim has more fleshed out guild quests, storylines etc? THEN sure, Hearthfire would be fine. As Skyrim is now though, Hearthfire just doesn't look tempting in the slightest.

I also have to say that while the housing system looks fleshed out and like effort was put in, the adoption system? Seriously? The adoption system was the thing I saw at Gamejam and thought "if this ever gets implemented, THEN I'll know something's wrong with Bethesda's management." The marriage system is already so laughably pathetic, why include this pathetic-looking adoption feature?

Is there a transcript of what the voice is saying, or a rough approximation? My ears don't work so good, and there's no subtitles with the video.

I for one am glad that this is #2. Why? That means the next DLC (presumably a big one) will not be subject to the stupid artificial delay for any platform that isn't XBox. I won't be getting it myself because 1: I'm on PC and can just get my own big house mod and #2: I never was big on new player house mods to begin with.

This is a decent-looking filler DLC. Nothing much to see, but nothing much is intended to be seen.

No DLC should ever come out for PC, because you can already do everything with Mods.

Is that what you want?

No, I mean there's a mod for everything in this dlc, not all DLC is bad for pc players.

Purchase land, build your own customizable house, move in with your spouse, adopt children, "raise them properly" (doesn't clarify on if this is truly a feature or not), fight off skeever infestations and giant attacks, hire a steward to help you do housework, and you gotta build the house by crafting nails etc.

Basically the jist of it.

At least this will be a good money sink. I have a character with over 200,000 gold and nothing to do with them.

But that's just it. Any DLC that comes out could be made by a free mod.

Basically what you (and so many other PC players) say, is that you'd rather use free mods than official DLC. But if Bethesda didnt release DLC for PC, PC players would complain that Bethesda doesnt care.

I already get the feeling that there will be only one Nordic theme , if that is so , I don't even have a reaction yet.

interesting in that it seems Skyrim has much more to offer you, well do you know the woman and girl that I am talking about?
No, I don't nothing on the usep or the wiki mentions it either. The only little girl at Honorhall is Runa Fair-Shield and there is nothing about fi nding her mother. Me thinks your confusings mods with the actual game.

The trailer said there would be skeever infestations and giant attacks.
Your family should be fine if they stay indoors but...
This is another reason we need the option to re-marry
Children are invunerable, spouses never leave the house if its not the one they originally lived in making them immune to giants, The skeevers will be likey function like the animal extermination quests you get from Aela. They'll stand outside the infested room just like those clients.

"Introducing Hearthfire.

Pretend you're playing the Sims and dike around aimlessly. Play tag with more kids and kill the easiest enemy type in the game. Pay $4 for the official version of that one user-created PC mod that's existed for months now."
So your argument is console players should not get a DLC that duplicates the features of incredibly popular PC mods? I suppose your oppose to the autostocking book shelves(originally a PC mod on oblivion) the mannequins. (also a PC mod on Oblivion).
Also it must have been someone else with the same avatar but I could have sworn you once said back in New Vegas you'd like the ability to spend lots of money building your own house.
