i laughed out loud when i read this, its so true.
In fairness it DOES look well-polished for what it does, so at least it looks like effort was put into it.
But it just seems so....I got here cause a friend of mine on Steam messaged me with a link and said "great, like Skyrim needed more menial tasks to complete," which is just so true. Hearthfire-style DLC might work with the right game, but not Skyrim, imo. Skyrim has plenty of menial tasks already, it doesn't need more. They might as well've released a DLC that does nothing but add more radiant quests...If and when Skyrim has more fleshed out guild quests, storylines etc? THEN sure, Hearthfire would be fine. As Skyrim is now though, Hearthfire just doesn't look tempting in the slightest.
I also have to say that while the housing system looks fleshed out and like effort was put in, the adoption system? Seriously? The adoption system was the thing I saw at Gamejam and thought "if this ever gets implemented, THEN I'll know something's wrong with Bethesda's management." The marriage system is already so laughably pathetic, why include this pathetic-looking adoption feature?
