Hearthfire - Thread #5 [merged topics]

Post » Thu Nov 15, 2012 9:29 am

Now that i think about it, what was the entire point of these threads ? Why have all the speculation? Why not just come out and say after you've initially announced it: "Hey guys this is just a minor housing expansion to hold you over until December not a new questline or anything." Wtf Beth, really...
I agree I may be happy that it is out but it is a real disapointment
I was expecting a magical world not a little bit of land
Still...
I can get rid of those 100,000,s of g

I am kinda hoping that there will be more options on the style of home you want to build then one the one in the release video , its nice and everything but my character is dark and evil and i kinda want her lair to reflect her personality , which is why im going to build in a dark creepy area ..... that's if they give us the option as well .

its pretty funny though how allot of people where expecting a bigger expansion then dawnguard XD
stuff like , infestation of Zombies on the land , stuff to do with necromancers and what not lol.

i guess we shall see maybe the expansion will reveal a bit more then the release video .

Do you think Hearthfire will include divorce and re-marriage?

We think you'll enjoy Hearthfire, but it is a smaller project worked on by a smaller team.

There better be a [censored] Werebear in the basemant!!!

But Adoption and House Building were in the Gamejam so Werebears should be next if there not already "hidden"!!

I don't think so. It's $5, just enough for a house+family DLC.

I'm definitely not going to buy it because I'm on PC and can already build my own house in the CK. But I think it's alright for console players - after all, people did ask for child adoption and more freedom in customizing their houses. It's fair, if you don't need it don't buy it.

It's actually quite nice as a filler DLC - more useful than what we got in Oblivion.

Now, Bethesda, can we get this Orsinium DLC already? :)

Didn't they explicitly make a point of saying there would be smaller releases between bigger DLCs?

In which case this is just something to hold us over until the next, more substantial DLC that will probably be Dawnguard or bigger size.

So let me get this straight, I just see this article on my gamingsite (Dutch one), where it says that Heartfire will be released on 4 september. One week from now XBOX-users will be able to enjoy a DLC, one I can't wait for, while we the PS3-users still wait on the first DLC Dawnguard. A DLC that's already behind schedule for more than a month, withouth so much as a little bit information except "we are not happy", "we are working on it" and "it's not ready yet".

We already got a punch to the face from Beth because of Dawnguard but now we get a kick in the groin too. I guess they will finish us off with the next DLC coming in a few weeks perhaps.

You're 95% sure that a house DLC is the last DLC for Skyrim.

The game is now old, new games are coming.

Hm, DLC Teams reminds me of Dragon Age Origins DLCs, no good memories.
Well and what's the rest is doing allready working on the Nextgame? So we can just expect such Feature DLCs and nothing big anymore for Skyrim?

Hm for the architecture styles. I guess it's the only. Simple from expirience, if there would be other stuff like this, they would show it in the Trailer, at least that is what the most developers do, showing the best things in Trailer, that was also the case with Dawnguard-

my first reaction: :L
Adoption: : (I hate that option, i would rather have my own youngling - but it won't happen sadly:/)

But overal: Yay:D

We think you'll enjoy Hearthfire, but it is a smaller project worked on by a smaller team.

So we have another BIGGER project on the horizon. yay:D

So what's bigger that a house or a child........

from a top of my head:

SPEARS!
WEREBEARS!
HUGE QUESTLINE DLC!!!!

mounted spellcasting anyone?

PS: Is the Skeleton Butler included? If not, PC players will have it insta-moded. xd

Okay people what is something that the majority of us want? That has to be what it is. If it doesn't include werebears I will be sitting in my house like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwyWonDJ30U&feature=related I feel like it might have something to do with Serana.

I would go back to what Todd said previously in an interview with http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/11/skyrim-to-have-multiple-dlc-releases-powerful-buckets/

There will be multiple releases (as with Bethesda's past games), but Howard says they "don't have a timetable. They won't be quick, and they'll have a lot of meat on them."

As noted, Hearthfire is something smaller, but it's something we thought was cool enough to release.

Would rather have goblins and spears. We can already transform into Vamp Lords and Werewolves. We can't shish-kabob goblins yet though.
