Guns.. but where I live it is apparently against the law to defend yourself with any type of weapon. Even if your home is being fire bombed.

Nudity. If someone braves that storm, they can have whatever they want.

I keep a crowbar under my bed. Mainly because in my apartment, where everyone else has a balcony, mine has been converted into the stairs to the back door of the building. So I have people walking right by my bedroom window to get in and out, with very easy access if anyone wanted to break in and have a look.

1.5 years and no problems so far, hell most people even *try* to be quiet outside the window.

Cats. If the extreme cuteness doesn't deter them, then I dunno what else will.

Nothing as of now, but I think a WASP Injector will be adequate for home defense.

I would soooo purchase a few bear traps to put by the window... just for precaution!

I'm not paranoid about home intrusion so, well, nothing.

If I really needed to, though, I have the various firearms in the house (owned for recreational shooting and hunting, not home defense). The law recently changed around here that I could actually use them if I needed to. Preferably, though, the goal is to scare them off and not actually injure them, eh?

Nothing here. Though if someone really wants to break into the building, travel up seven flights of stairs, lockpick both the stairwell door and my door, and then come into my place, they'd have to deal with me and a big kitchen knife.

Home defense? Well, I have several options:

A 6 ft. bo staff.
Some http://www.swordsofmight.com/images/products/display/Kama_Set.1.jpg. (and these things are razor sharp)
Any one of about 12 functional swords. (good for decapitations)
The set of throwing knives I keep on my nightstand. (I prefer these over shurikens)
Any one of 8 combat knives. (good for...removing an intruder's insides)
Any one of 3 throwing axes. (I'll bury the hatchet. In an intruder's face!)
A http://www.lenaburgs.net/images/Walthers/Walther_P99HMS-04.jpg. (James Bond approves of this firearm)
A http://www.inetimaging.com/images/short_870.jpg. (it leaves behind quite a mess)
A http://world.guns.ru/userfiles/images/handguns/usa/1/1287739686.jpg. (Been around for a century and still one of the best firearms out there)

All things considered, it would not be beneficial to one's health to break into my home. :gun:

Nothing specific comes to mind, although I'm sure I could find something if the need were to arise. As it is though, I think the sight of a very large German Shepherd would be enough to deter any burglar.

Why would you need that for decapitations? A solid and sharp 3 pound katana or longsword would be all you need, as long as you get a good swing.

Not, um, going by experience or anything.

Well, just for the record, despite what movies may say, bone's pretty hard to simply shear through. This is why we have boneSAWs and not boneSWORDS or boneAXEs

I mean... you think the most vital organ to the body would just be limpily attached?

I have a rather hefty Buddha statue on top of my bookshelf, one blast to the dome and it would deliver most men to Nirvana.

I'm going to assume you've never participated in decapitation before... you need a blunt weapon like an ax with driving weight behind it, otherwise you're going to have to strike multiple times and it becomes a messy endeavor.

Lol, that's a very common misconception. Most claymores (at least, those used for actual combat) weighed 5-7 pounds. But to answer your question, I have several katanas that could do the trick, as well as a couple of broadswords. I like turtles swords.
