So honestly now, who is LOVING Skyrim?

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 3:03 pm

Extremely. Although the menu's are a little clunky sometimes, and it runs a bit slow at times(mainly the mouse). It's even more amazing than Oblivion, but I didn't expect any less. :D

I love it even with the small 'faults'.

Even the small faults like 'disappearing and never to return companions'?

The fun does outweigh the bugs though... but only just about.

I still think the playtester(s) should be sacked.

After i found out how to fix the bug that causes some buttons to be unresponsive, i love it. Unlocked 4 new shots, bought a house. Life is good :)

I wish my huscarl would disappear. I feel bad about leaving her sitting all alone in that house day after day. She's probably bored out of her mind. :sadvaultboy:

Getting close to the 30 hours, no bugs, no issues, I'm loving it and already know this is the best game I ever played, by far.

Seconded. That was the only thing making the experience less enjoyable. Now that I've gotten past it I feel like hedonismbot getting exotic oils poured all over my golden belly (sigh of pleasure). I'm about 6 hours in and collecting quests and exploring the world so I can fast travel everywhere later and even with all that activity I haven't crashed yet. My wife did...twice...which svcks for her...but that was before we cleaned up the PS3 a bit. Ever since, no problems.

Bethesda: You gave me Oblivion, and I gave you 50$ and 200+ hours of my life. Now you give me Skyrim. So far I have given you $59.99 and 6 hours and counting. Thank you.

Playing on the pc. I really don't understand what people's problems are with the game, most of the issues fall down to the users and their systems and not the game itself. I can understand everyone has a different opinion but some of the gripes are really really pathetic...I think Skyrim is AWESOMEEEE! :D:D:D

Now I know there are these glitches, texture faults, and etc. but they will eventually be fixed. I for one haven't run into any huge problems on the PS3 version yet other than a snow texture problem where it looks like Borderlands textures haha. Other than that, I've been absolutely loving this game. I'm 10 hours in and barely have touched the main quest. There is just so much to do. I'm going to pick up Skyrim for the PC also (mods and I'm more a PC gamer either way.) Thank you Bethesda for delivering such an amazing game again. I'm still playing Oblivion to this day even with Skyrim out, but I mean mostly Skyrim right now ;) Skyrim leaves me speechless and it will keep me busy and having fun for a long time.

My question to all of you is... Who is loving this game, setting aside the minor faults that will be fixed soon? Who has lost complete track of time playing this game, hours fly by? Haha!

It's funny how I always see this topic when a new Bethesda game comes out.

It's great, but it's also daunting!

Soooo many perks to choose from,
Soooo much crafting to do,
Soooo many skills to level,
Soooo many dungeons to explore,
Soooo many sidequests...

:ahhh:

(At some point "lots of options" starts to feel like "too many options" and you start to get overwhelmed. :D)

Yes... My Miscellaneous' Quest Jornal is full of things to do!

Best game I have played in a looong time. The only problems I have had so far is a bit of texture glitching, and ofc the inventory sometimes get a bit sticky (and requires keyboard operation), but once you get the hang of how and why, its easily dealt with.

So far ill give the game perhaps 7.5 or 8. But when we finally get working UI that is worth for RPG game on PC i might raise it to 8.5 or even 9 perhaps. But seriously how can game has this crap UI? Why do i need to press 3 to 5 buttons see my magic spells or active powers, instead of simply pressing on button and seeing all spells neatly in spell book etc. Why do i need to press same 3 to 5 buttons to equip an item compared to nice little large inventory like diablo or arcanum and double clicking to equip item from large inventory window? And why do i have to look to 5 different places for different stats when they all could be in same window? Bad move Beth bad move. Especially for a PC version of the game. Console players can keep their cramped crap ui. Its totally unintuitive.

Despite the glitches etc, simply the best game I have ever played. Incredible to look at with an atmosphere to match.

Stunning.

I am extremely pleased with the game, and I've only seen the tip of the iceberg. There are some technical issues on the PC but they are buried beneath the game's sheer awesomeness. My mind is thoroughly blown.

I love it, even with all the bugs that have caused me to have to reload past saves and strange frame-rate issues that go away when restarting the PS3.

Definitely. There's so much detail to it all, the world feels much more believable and alive than Oblivion's. It's even a big leap forward from Fallout 3.

Sure the UI is kinda annoying and bugged for some people, the textures could be a bit sharper in many places, and finishing moves also glitch a bit sometimes, but overall the game looks and plays great.

Also, NPCs once again recognize it when you're not wearing any clothes. Hurray!

Its pretty sick so far, but I have ran into a few graphical glitches. Don't really care about those though. Combat is amazing, and I love the crafting system. (Full superior dwarven armor at level 9 ftw  )

P.S. Not sure if the bit about the armor is impressive or not lol

Having never played an RPG game before my GF introduced me to Oblivion, henceforth I've been hooked, over 500 hrs into oblivion and the same again on Fallout 3, with some sadness but understanding I have agree to let my GF be the 1st to play Skyrim as I am the full time carer of our 9mth son and would get to play 1st otherwise. From the little I have watched her play in 1080p on PS3 I'm left going wow wow wow! Ok, so there are going to be bugs and niggles etc, but what game hasn't got those on release nowadays, I'm stuck playing MW3 whilst I wait for the better half to get her fill on Skyrim, must be love lol!

It has several serious flaws but this is Daggerfall style innovation.

Best game of a decade.
