I just want to ask,

How many will get Skyrim despite the bad treatment other gamers got from other Bethesda games?

How many will NOT get Skyrim because of the mistakes and problems gamers are enduring because of Bethesda? (example, we Fallout gamers got add ons that are glitched because last patch bugged the add ons and game)

I thought about getting Skyrim, but see how Bethesda gave up on Fallout New Vegas after making so many game glitching patches, I will not get Skyrim.

Just so you know, Obsidian created Fallout New vegas, not Bethesda and yes I will be getting Skyrim CE.

It's a big game with a lot of features. There's gonna be glitches. If glitches ruined NV for you, that just seems anol to me. NV was great.

So yeah, there's gonna be glitches. Either you can handle it or you can't.

I've never done this before, so I just couldn't resist...In B4 Lock!!!

OT - I started becoming a rabid Bethesda games fan after playing Morrowind...know what, I've never been able to finish! I keep trying, but get svcked into exploration for hundreds of hours. It's a good thing. That game is huge. I've played all BGS games from MW to FO3. Never played "OBSIDIAN'S" game, FO:NV so I can't comment on it. But after probably 2 or 3 thousand hours combined in all those games, I've never once had a game crashing bug on XBox 360, PS3 or PC. Also, as for treatment, whenever I tweet Pete Hines, a VP at Bethesda on his personal twitter account, he always responds promptly and courteously, even though he's probably getting a ton of requests all at once. You might say it's his job, but being his personal twitter account, he is not obligated to respond, yet he does.

As for any other speculation on legal items which we are not allowed to discuss here, BGS is the game development studio for Skyrim and has nothing to do with what you may or may not have read regarding certain proceedings. Ambiguous much? These things should not reflect on BGS' dedication to creating a phenomenal game. You'll be seriously missing out if you decide not to play Skyrim. Your loss I guess.

I was able to play New Vegas from start to finish without a patch and only had 1 major quest bug.

Fallout 3 I had to put on a shelf and wait for a patch the second I walked out of the vault because it blue screened my comp, constantly.

I have to say that New Vegas was not as buggy for me. Also if Oblivion and Fallout 3 are any indications Skyrim will have very poor optimization for PC controls and UI. There seems to be a lot of blindly devoted fan syndrome or nostalgia goggles in this forum. :obliviongate:

This. +1.
First of all, Bethesda didn't make New Vegas. Obsidian did. And Obsidian games are notorious for GIANT-ASS bugs on release day! I gotta admit, out of the 10 years that I have played TES games, I have never been mistreated.

Which Fallout game are you talking about? New Vegas? You're barking up the wrong tree. Bethesda didn't make New Vegas, Bugsidian did.

Well, despite the problems that other Bethesda games have, they still aren't as bad as other games. I usually think of it like this: Linear games can be more forceful with their glitch fixing, because it is just that, linear. There is a straight line of gameplay from one end to the other. Bethesda's games, however, are non-linear. Instead choosing to cater to a player that will direct their attention to every nook and cranny they can find. Do everything. See everything. Etc. Etc. So it's nigh on impossible for them to fix absolutely every single little thing on the first run, because there is always going to be a player who finds a way outside of the map. Or an NPC who isn't lip-synced. It's just the sacrifice made for creating a game that allows you to do what you want. So I forgive Bethesda's mistakes, because they are only human. plus I find it dikey of people when they demand the best of a company that works their ass of, when that person probably couldn't do much better in terms of programming. So meh.

Minor bugs on release are part of the deal, especially once you've overloaded on mods
I've never encountered anything game breaking though

Im getting it and I played Brink which was published by Bethesda. I think that tops any "glitch" you had with Fallout considering all its problems in the first month of release.

......

You know.... Bethesda didn't make, or patch, New Vegas.....

I don't think he knows the difference between a publisher and a developer.

Also, Elder Scrolls is Bethesda's very own product.

Yeah, I don't know how many more people are doing this, but I plan on getting it for PC and Xbox. Play it through on the Xbox first then mod what I don't like. Who knows if I'll even need to mod it...
