Howcome you cant marry Serena?

Post » Tue Nov 20, 2012 12:13 pm

I just thought of something. What if Bethesda did this on purpose, maybe they made it so that you cannot marry Serana because they know how much they messed up with marriage in Skyrim. Lets be honest it is pretty pointless, and once you marry someone they become a robot, and what if they did not want this to happen with Serana since she actually is a great character that has a personality and everything. I just thought this up, and it made sense to me.
That's why I don't get why people want to marry her. She'll end up cooking you meals and giving you money from her invisible store.

I mean I think being able to marry her would have been nice if it was a special ceremony not in the temple of mara, but I don't think they would do that and then she would end up a robot. So I can understand them not giving us the option. Honestly I will probably just roleplay that she is my wife/girlfriend or whatever.

To some degree. What people should do is just give her an enchanted ring or something and pretend they are married.

I thought they might have a put a different spin on marrying her,

Been through alot of different ideas to see if I can change her mind (why still have the dialouge option avialable?). I came up with the idea that maybe there is a limit to the number of vampire side quests and at the end of them things change like they do with completing the thieves guild quest. After all you finish the main quest but don't get aknowledged until completing many side quests.

It has a similar feel about it with collecting bits of ancient vampire and converting individuals from different holds, at the end maybe you get a ceremony in the castle in front of the blood fountain/pool. Unfortunately I seem to be at an impasse as the Vingalmo Bug has stopped my progress - Very frustrating.

That's why I don't get why people want to marry her. She'll end up cooking you meals and giving you money from her invisible store.

Why would she cook for you? Blood cursed arrow are much better than food, but I have seen her in homes stirring the cooking pots.

Karliah? Ewww.

If you are a dark elf, she would be the best choice. One of the few, too.

If they know that, they could fix it. I'm sure a lot of people would agree to pay lets say 5£ for the fixed marriage where your partner becomes more interesting. I know I would.

''Married now and forever,or until you kill your spouse'' Just for 5£ you get a better wife to kill. Order it today.

Thats bull, i worn an amulet of mara all the way through the main quest in hopes that once you finish it you could propose, but you couldnt, it didnt even give you the option, hence why i asked how can she reject you if you cant even propose so take your sarcasm and cynacism somewhere else.
You can
That's a glitch that happens sometimes
That glitch also happens to people who are actually marriage candidates
Drop your amulet of Mara and buy a new one from Maramal
also could you take your anger and hate somewhere else when I'm just telling you the truth
(I have done this myself)

Also did you acquire it from the temple of Mara? The amulets don't work until the priest tells you about marriage (The Dovahkiin has to be told how to feel.)

Because she was defiled by the daedric price of domination, Would not want to have sixual activity with her, She probably has kinky tastes.

I'm not seeing a problem anywhere in this sentence.

They didnt want anyone to blow their brains out after hearing her b!tch about her problems for the 100th time. "Hey honey, just got back from killing some dragons" Says I, "Welcome home...My dad didnt love me and the sun is too bright but we are inside so i have to complain about this nice house you spent all your money on instead..." she whines, "Umm...ok i am sorry about that i guess" i reply, "My mom never cared!...Why did she bury me in that tomb? Why did you blot out the sun? How am i supposed to complain now?" she answers, "She locked you up because you wont SHUT THE [censored] UP!" i say before staking the B!tch....
I hope that answered your OP

I don't the thought of having a very pregnant Lydia standing in front of you griping about about having sworn to carry your burdens all the time might push me over the edge.

Yes he can. She hated having six with that limp bastard. She even admits too that

When does the game ever even IMPLY that she had six with Molag Bal? The game says she was "offered" to Molag Bal, but it was implying that as sacrificially not sixually, unless I completely missed that one.

At any rate, I support the notion of being able to marry Serana. When Bethesda goes around to fix the buggy mess that this DLC is, they should make it so we can marry her as a peace offering to us. I mean, she is the most endearing character in this entire game and she basically makes this DLC as good as it is, so I think it is the biggest slap in the face when they tease the possibility of being able to marry her, and then nothing comes of it.

All things considered, I feel like this whole situation might be one gigantic joke. If it were anywhere near April right now... O.O

Do u really hate her dialogue that much? You always complain about her talking about her father. She barely even goes into detail besides "we dont get along" or "he's obsessed". Its not NEARLY as bad as you make it seem. Or at all actually.

She talks about him every quest. In the order of: We arent very close, he stopped caring long ago, he is obsessed and evil, he might try to hurt me now, we have to kill him". It IS as bad as that because she cant just say "This is our quest? Ok lets do it" NO she has to say "[Insert sarcastic remark] we must hide this from daddy, i am ancient and lord my knowledge over you even though every question is met with: Im not sure exactly". If i could make mods i would have her muted.
Being the Star Wars nerd i am, i am constantly hearing the remark that both Luke and Anakin were very "Whiney" characters and for that they are hated, but we get the ABSOLUTE most Annoying complainer and everyone praises her. A pretty face doesnt make up for a B!tchy personality

Eh I personally don't find her annoying maybe because the background of my character can relate to her since my character has "family issues".

I think her dialogue is good, and nothing about her is "B1tchy". Half of the dialogue with her is also optional, so u could just ignore it. If u dont want to hear how she feels about her family, dont ask. And look how her family is. I think she has the right to complain about "daddy issues".

It is not optional. You have to "check with her" for every other quest and instead of getting to the point she goes on a little Soap Opera moment first

I make sure not to click those...i learned the 1st time. But she still complains while walking and everytime you get to a new point in the story she has to make sure you know that she is Sarcastic and has daddy issues.
