An Idea of how Vampires and Werewolves Could Have Been Done

Post » Tue Nov 20, 2012 2:07 am

Yes it is. The Volkihar are treated as the Order, which is a SEPARATE variant of Vamprism. They dressed up the Vamps in skyrim with a Clan/Court system which is not how the different versions work. They defied all the previous lore of Vampires from the past and decided to just slap on the quickest to implement version.

To be fair, it is never stated in any book or lore that volkhar could not have a court or clan system and they are called the volkihar "clan" and the court are ancient and so could have been hidden all this time, people seem to think only the order can be sophisticated or smart, volkihar used to be humans/mer as well ergo have intelligent sapient minds and thought patterns.

Personally I think they should hire REL_Dovahkin to pitch ideas to them, because he has a lot of good ones. He also has common sense, which Bethesda seems to lack.

They will probably just ignore every idea he pitches lol

And that is your point of view. And just that.

They listen to fans, that is how a business works.

Get off your powertrip. You should be grateful they listen to you. Not demanding. Their are companies that do a lot worse.

It's not an insult to fans, they didn't go out of their way to hurt you. They did what they wanted to with their creation.

You are the one insulting them.

There is a word i would use to describe you but its blocked by the auto-censor.

What I like about the volk vampires is when you see them in the court they look really savage but when you talk to them its like... how can I describe it they have a predatory like intelligence they are not stupid they are really smart but savage at the same time. Which I <3

The Volkihar are known to be savage monsters who CANT blend with society. The point is that they are supposed to live in the ice and hunt/ambush prey but instead they have a castle named after the entire race where they feed on thralls and have deadly political schemes...blasphemy

Actually, these were ideas discussed before Skyrim was even released, honestly. Especially the werewolves.

I don't know...playing a vampire who sleeps inside ice all day waiting for someone to walk by so they can eat him would be kinda boring to play lol

Agreed! They can be called the Volkihar "clan", but even goblins have clans.

Says who? who said they are savage monster that CANT blend in, tell me...go on. The priest never said that they cannot blend in, hell he did not even know much about the volkihar, a [censored] vampire hunter had to tell him about their abilities,

Bethesda could of added the political vampires to fight the Volkihar off. I am willing to bet a vampiric invasion from their part would open their eyes and change their ways real quick. Add Order Vampyrum vs Volkihar vs Dawnguard and we would of had an amazing DLC.

Keep throwing insults.

I'm not here to get attacked.

And I'm not trying to attack you. But, clearly people don't like listening to thoughts that counter their's.

I'm trying to have a conversation.

I just feel you guys are overstepping when you insult the people that made the game.

The ORDER is the only clan that can blend at will which is what makes them unique, THAT is where

If they made the vampires in skyrim true to lore you wouldn't really be able to do anything since they sleep in ice all day waiting for food to walk pass then is back to sleep so doing anything other that then would kinda break the lore anyway lol

Really? The priest didn't know much about vampires? Last time I checked, the hunter went to ask the priest for information on vampires. If anyone is an expert on vampires, it is a vampire itself. You think the priest would want to help a vampire hunter through and through? Sure, he gave advice, but he left crucial facts from the hunter, maybe in hopes that he would get killed. Same thing happened to Tissina Grey. When the hunter began asking for Cyrodiilic vampires, then the priest knew he had to take him out.

That would have been pretty cool i would give anything to put those annoying ass cryo vampires out of business for good.

I know they have to make SOME changes for gameplay's sake but they could replace "Living" in ice with just have caverns under lakes. They dont even have ice powers of ANY kind. There is NOTHING Volkihar about them

"The next day, he did return with more questions, these ones very specific. He wanted to know about the vampires of eastern Skyrim. I told him about the most powerful tribe, the Volkihar, paranoid and cruel, whose very breath could freeze their victims' blood in the veins. I explained to him how they lived beneath the ice of remote and haunted lakes, never venturing into the world of men except to feed."

"Your advice helped me very much," he said. "But you should know that the Volkihar have an additional ability you didn't mention. They can reach through the ice of their lakes without breaking it. It was quite a nasty surprise, being grabbed from below without any warning."

Never says that they cannot blend in. This section pretty much tells me how they prefer how to feed and trying to animate something like this is hard but personally this is the reason why my vampire character specializes in ice spells. The volk vampires in the court do fit the cruel part of the description.

And goblins do have a system as well but it is just primitive and goblins were never human first, vampires were. you do not lose your brain when you become a vampire, they just get predatory but that does not mean dumb and caveman like, they are in caves because society shuns them and they spotted in caves, not homes. only a handful live in homes. The court do not break lore.

I must protest. Some clans can blend in, but they have their own methods of doing so that does not relate to drinking blood.

Never said they should be unintelligent, but they would be similar to the Quarra, Berne and Aundae vampires.
