Imagined Barriers Faction Locks and Such

Reguarding the map and its size...It really does look to me like the Ebonheart pact has a much larger area then the other two factions, so I guess ZOS realizes this will be the most popular faction and are giving it the biggest chunk of the map. Not to mention that most likely once the game launches the Dev's will all be playing EB....just like in SWTOR Bioware Devs all played Empire.

My friend with utmost respect. Anything as of mondern times that even reflects WOW it fails.

There needs to be a wow corollary to Godwins law. Whoever uses mere comparison to wow as a means to disparage a mechanic has already shown he has no real argument.

I love the fact people try and speak about GW2 as if they're 100% certain, even though they haven't played it. I know some of you have and have proved others wrong about their misinformed opinions and views, which is good.
Anyway, this is just another 'I can't play with friends QQ no open-world PvP or X-faction chat!', I'm getting so, so tired of this...
I'm 99% sure they're set on their views, they're most likely not going to change this stuff. It was no different in WoW, you couldn't play with your friend who was on the Horde if you were Alliance, it's just the way factions work.
I don't remember seeing any 'Oh don't attack me, I'll just try to stand out of your way whilst we BOTH attack this monster.', just join their faction instead!
It's not that much of a problem, really, come on...

Shouldn't this be part of the single faction-lock thread we're allowed to have?

Also, the OP's quote tells us very little, only that you can run into other faction people while PvEing in Cyro which I thought was common knowledge by now and no one was mentioning it in faction-lock discussions because it didn't really make any difference to the argument.

The mods said they're gonna keep it to one or two faction lock threads (which isn't exactly what this is.)

And I think most of them are locked or just about at post limit anyway.

The point of this thread is to point that there is PvE in Cyrodiil and that you may be able to do this content with players from other factions.

Edit:

Just double checked. All faction lock threads are locked or at post limit.

This game is not WoW: 2.0
This game is not SWTOR: 2.0
This game is not GW2: 2.0

This is Elder Scrolls Online. The sooner people realise that, the better.

Wanna play with friends? Join the same faction.

Yes, if that thread was active. Since it reached the post limit, let's use this one until it fills up.

Yep thats how its been in pretty much every faction based MMO. Why ESO has to be different and reinvent the wheel just defies logic and common sense.

Personally I have never asked them to reinvent anything. All I want is an in game method for two guilds to be able to RP with the in game chat when in Cyrodiil. Maybe make it so guilds from opposing factions can declare war on each other and then when they meet in Cyrodiil they can have a simple /say function that works only within hearing distance. Really that is all I want them to change, just throw the RP community a bone so we can take our roleplay to Cyrodiil.

Make no mistake I plan on having opposing faction guilds that share the same forums and the leadership of both / all those guilds will be having regular meetings to enhance the role play for their guild members.
