Introducing Kinect Support for 360

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 4:00 am

Salt in the wounds of PS3 user.
To be honest it is like that with everyone. I honestly don't know a single person who plays kinect and has skyrim. Who is going to use it?

Bolded: That's not even remotely true as a statistic, and all hyperbole does is harm the credibility of a discussion's participant. Also, reads the rest of the thread, more announcements are coming

[/color]

I don;'t have kinect for my xbox and won't buy it, but still, it looked like a cool and convenient way to speed up management for people who do have it.
Well it practically is with the people I know who play skyrim on xbox. Not one of them out of about 30 has kinect... Of all the things they added it is going to have little effect on the majority of players.

I hope that they didn't spend too many scarce resources on it. Perhaps they simply let the dude who created them for the gamejam just keep working and fleshing out the system. I wonder if his handle is killmoms. ;)

Maybe I am getting too old, but weird peripherals like the kinect remind me of stuff like the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_Glove.

I sure hope this wasn't the only thing they wanted to announce about Skyrim this month. I honestly knew Kinect Support was coming, but frankly, 2/3 of the install platforms can't use this, and of the 1/3 that can, probably Two-Third of that can't use Kinect because they didn't want to shell out for a gimmick.

There's no way you can complain about this is there? its not limited to shouts and frees up time for players with a connect, of course you can expect a fw hundred cases of fattening fingers from the reduced exercise XD. well they said Big news for Skyrim users through April and Gstaff said more or less "some of it around the corner" so I don't think thats all ;p

So, now you can spaz out in front of your TV while fus-ro-dahing something. Awesome?

I don't get the whole "new generation controllers". They have their place, but... meh.

conclusion:
Wasted energy that could be used to improve the game for everybody.
Bugfixes, Add-ons, performance

edit: it more sounds like MS told Beth to do somthing to help increasing the kinect sale.

Not at all really. The same person(s) who worked on the Kinect functionality may or may not have had anything to do with fixing bugs.

I'm just soooooooooooooooo Glad I got my Skyrim before Microsoft gets to slap that ugly purple "Better with Kinect" on the otherwise beautiful case.

A full list of Voice Commands will be revealed in the coming weeks, and we’ve got more Skyrim news coming. Bethesda Game Studios has been hard at work on creating the first set of game add-ons that will be exclusive to the Xbox 360. This additional content will add new quests, locations, features, and much more to the world of Skyrim. Stay tuned for more details.

That either lacked a "exclusive FOR A MONTH", or a spit in the face to finish insulting PC/PS3 players...

Like in Mass Effect 3 is an excellent addition to the game. You do not have to pause to switch between sword, spell or shouts.

What the... This is what Bethesda has been working on? Why?

Has this gaming company gone completely [censored]?

Granted, I'm impressed with the demo, but could they not have invested in something a bit more universal in application like, I dunno... DLC?

Unless a kill cam toggle is introduced. NOTHING else you offer will mean a damn thing.

Cool. This makes me want to go Kinect-ict. Any chance we'll get anything similar for PC + MiC combo?

There's a mod for thattm.

Has been for quite a while, in fact.

Okay new rule, read the article and whole thread before posting about how you hate that this was the surprise and being mad that there's no DLC. Because you plainly didn't.

Is sorting items by name/weight/value Kinect exclusive?
