i dont have a kinect, but if it all runs as smooth as that video claims then i could see that being pretty cool, especially speeding up menu time. . .still wont buy a kinect though. :/

This will actually help a lot with my magic spells. Instead of having to scroll through dozens of spells constantly Although it will be funny constantly saying all the shouts.

If it runs as good ass it does in the video I am sure it will be a bonus to the ones who have kinect. I, for one, will not buy kinect for this either way though.

Am I understanding the Kinect support to only be for voice commands? There is no weapons control, as in waving your arms around to hack and slash, right?

Pretty cool with the shouts but you will still have to have a controller in your hand, correct?

HI Gstaff. Hope you're doing great!

Cool. This makes me want to go Kinect-ict. Any chance we'll get anything similar for PC + MiC combo?

Thats the suprise?

You might not love the Kinect, but notice the pattern here - archery killcams, magic killcams, and kinect functionality are all features that Bethesda showed us in the youtube video of stuff the devs came up with in the week after the game came out. Other features were mounted combat, numerous graphical improvements, and combining spells.

Personally I don't give two poops about the kinect but I'm very excited that they are apparently implementing a bunch of the stuff we saw in that youtube video of the stuff the devs came up with.

At the end of the paragraph of the new post it reads- "

A full list of Voice Commands will be revealed in the coming weeks, and we’ve got more Skyrim news coming. Bethesda Game Studios has been hard at work on creating the first set of game add-ons that will be exclusive to the Xbox 360. This additional content will add new quests, locations, features, and much more to the world of Skyrim. Stay tuned for more details.", so a DLC announcment is coming soon.

In addition to Dragon Shouts, the Kinect for Xbox 360 integration offers voice commands throughout the game including Hotkey Equipping, Follower Commands, and all Menus (Items, Magic, Map, Barter, Container, Favorites, and Skills). With Voice Commands, quickly create and load saves during gameplay and access menus and inventories. Skyrim’s Kinect for Xbox 360 Support also adds new functionality including special map functions, additional hotkey options, and the ability to sort inventory items by name, weight, and value.

Doesnt sound like combat commands, but I would think those would be difficult to perform anyway.

Did you guys complaining about DLC announcements read the end of the blog entry?

DLC announcement is still forthcoming, exclusive to xbox for a month.

The more I thought about it, the more I realized that, yes, commanding weapons and even looking around would be kind of difficult at this stage.

I think so. What a letdown. Kinect is rubbish. It is limited to 0.0000000000000001% of players. Apparently it will add 200 commands.

Bolded: That's not even remotely true as a statistic, and all hyperbole does is harm the credibility of a discussion's participant. Also, reads the rest of the thread, more announcements are coming

I don;'t have kinect for my xbox and won't buy it, but still, it looked like a cool and convenient way to speed up management for people who do have it.
