The Empire doesn't like Forsworn in control as the Empire wants Skyrim silver. If the Forsworn control Markarth, the Empire will hire someone else and then jail them because they are faithless imperials.

They all sit like that. They all stay in their halls and ignore attack dragons, vampires, bears, etc etc. They all give you a piddly piece of crap reward when they make you a thane. And all the ones with useless real estate they can't sell grant you the privilege of giving them money for it. In fact, Balgruf charges you the least. I mean Elisif makes you pay 25000 for a house without a toilet bucket.

Why pick on Balgruuf? They're all the same. The only Jarl who does anything out of his hall is Ulfric, and all he did was start a war.

The problem with Stormcloaks is that they do not understand subtlety. Sure, the Stormcloaks could stand a chance in a sword 'n board fight against the Thalmor...

That's totally true...Major oversight on my part. (Especially since I support the Empire and the Aldmeri Dominion)
