These two have got to be the most annoying characters in the series, I'd rather have Jarjar Binks as a permanent companion than have to listen to mister chronic depression and his terrible wife. Every time either of them opens their mouths it makes me want to eat a mininuke.
Anyone else have characters that just utterly disgust them?

I cannot stand these two. I want to kick Marcy out of Minuteman turf, and instruct all patrols to shoot her on sight.

Bethesda has a talent for making EXTREMELY annoying NPCs- I killed several people in Skyrim just so I wouldn't hear their dialouge anymore. They've outdone themselves with these two, especially Marcy.

I saved your life, built you a home with my bare hands, and command the organization that keeps you safe. You WILL stop complaining, NOW.

I wish you could assign settlers to latrine duty, she's just begging for it.

I want to have them publicly executed. I wish i could say I was joking but I'm not.
I put a nuke mine in Jun's pocket and it didn't kill him. My hatred only grows stronger each time I see him clipping through my workbench in my workshop.

Mama murphey is annoying as heck. Her voice, face, personality... Just everything.

Travis the radio DJ is also annoying. I plan to launch a teddy bear into his face...it seems fitting

I put my entire Sanctuary population in the best Formalwear that the wasteland could provide. He got a natty brand new black Tux and she got one of those fancy Red Dresses. Both got nice formal Hats.

So dressed, they went from Atom Awful annoying to *$#&@ hilarious. Seriously. There is just something about those lines coming from someone dressed like that that makes them sound like refugees from Archer: After The Apocalypse.

Are you on PC? If so, you can turn Marcy into a Molerat and her husband into a Bloatfly with the setrace console command.

I want to murder Marcy and Mama Murphy in the most agonising and horrifically slowly way I can dream up. Jun I just want to drag out back and shoot in the head. I should have fed that old bag the drugs she wanted.

Consider they just lost there kid, they are both handling the grief recently, he has fallen into despair and she anger and frustration over her inability to save her kid, which makes her lash out.

Honestly a bit sad that Beth attempts to make there npcs flawed and...well human is met with this cold "they are so annoying"

I put Jun in a dress, he seems much happier now. Marcy seems like the one that wears the pants in that relationship anyways.

For the gal, she needs to do the same because of this cute idea that will never work called "gender equality".

Life in the wasteland is pretty damn worthless anyway. Just look at your kill count in the pipboy.

The whole bunch of the original five is annoying as [censored]. So annoying that I put Jon Lun and Preston in dresses, threw a sack hood over Marcy's head and built Mama's chair in a remote ruined house. Sturges is the only one not constantly going on my nerves. Although, if he continues about fixing anything I will have some ideas for him too.

Marcy Long ticks me off until she starts to actually not mind living in Sanctuary "You know, this place isn't that bad. I mean... it's still a hole, but it could be worse." I think she says this as the happiness of the settlement rises. She's still snippy from time to time, but I placed the farm far from the shanty-town, so interactions are minimal.

I actually don't mind Jun or Preston. I can't get Preston to join me in my travels this play through however... he just wants to hit the Castle.

Mama Murphy though... "Hey *wheeze* Kiiid. Whaaatcha *wheeze* doing *wheeze* about yourrr *wheeze* searrrrrrrrch? Bring me some more *wheeze* chemmmsss so *wheeze* the sssighhhhht *wheeze* will paint a *wheeze* clearer *wheeze* pichur." And then when she's talking to anyone else she can actually speak a full sentence normally.

She easily takes thrice as long as anyone else to say anything. Like, I haven't found a way to skip dialogue, so I just walk away and get a drink, take a leak, look at AO material in between dialogue choices.

The more people you have in Sanctuary the less likely it is they'll talk to you.

And? She is grief for loosing the beloved child she birthed and raised up to that point, her scarred mind is trying to comprehend it and that leads to some illogical actions.

I made the mistake of helping Preston in Concord and building in Sanctuary on my latest playthrough, i really forgot how annoying Marcy is, Jun i can stand.

At least you can get rid of the permanently seated Mama Murphy in an interesting and satisfying way.

I think i'm going to go full Sims on Marcy and build a house with no door for her to live in.

A human wouldn't repeat the same statements ad infinitum until point of said annoyance.

Oh because its not like that default for NPC in any RPG, if ya hang around the same NPC that often, its ya own fault.

Its the fault of the auto conversation crap that forces every NPC to talk to you as soon as you enter their huge orb of discussion. Easily makes a non issue thing a big issue.

Seriously, I can be at the crafting bench and get constantly yammered at how Im not friends with Marcy over and over and over and never leave till I stop what Im doing to step back and have her walk away just to shut her up.

No, it's not. They're hit and run repeaters if you get into shouting distance.

Well, yeah, first time you hear it, adds some character to the NPC. Thousandst time you hear it makes you want to go all out supermutant suicider.

I tried trading Marcy to some Raiders but they sent her back the next day. Said they'd leave the Commonwealth for good as long as I promised never to torture them like that again.

Interesting find of the day: I came across an oversized Teddy Bear sitting in the driver's seat of a bus and wearing a bus driver's hat.

I lured her into a house in sanctuary, with a bed for her to sleep in.. then boarded up the door with picket fencing. I imagine her wailing "For the love of God, Montresor!" Before the last picket fence snaps into place.
