Let's talk nudity

It varies and is different for everyone. Kids can hit puberty as early as the age of 9.

Damn, 22 people viewing this thread.
Nudity does that. :P

That's a bit childish don't you think?
its childish that i dont want to play The Elder Scrolls V: pormo?
I guess i could perhaps not download the update, but then I would not be able to play online and chat with friends, which inhances the experience a lot.

What purpose would Skyrim nudity serve...?

There are lots of things in Skyrim which serve no purpose other than to create a plausible and immersive setting for the game. Nudity would serve the same purpose.

What's childish is your equation of nudity with pormo.

I don't remember seeing any nudity in Arena... though to be fair I never could get very far into it.
IIRC the character screen had barbie doll nudity, though it's been a long time since I played it.
What purpose would Skyrim nudity serve besides providing 12 year old boys with whack it material?
Skyrim is an M rated game so why should people who shouldn't be playing it in the first place count?

Or maybe turn off the nvde option in the menu? I am sure many people do not want to see nudity, and likewise some people do.

So to spare the sight of bouncing [censored] and a little backside, they should have the option for players to toggle nudity on/off.

Fair enough?

I don't want nudity in my game either. I don't use nvde mods, I never have and I never plan on. Nudity is not the same as porm however.

But if nudity were to be put in the game, to have it just females would be ridiculous. Male nudity is nothing to be scared about.

Does anyone remember "The Saboteur?" It's kind of old now but they were able to sell that game at an M rating because the nudity was downloaded. Skyrim will never be rated AO unless the nudity is sold with the game in stores.

No benefits to this at all. If you really need nudity to make the game more realistic to you, then play on the PC and use the mods. Or... you can always use your imagination. Adding nudity does not benefit anyone at all.

I'm amazed Daggerfall was rated T yet had boobs all over the place. Heck, all the Dibella temples could have been strip clubs in temple form. The men that were naked in there, sadly, were always in loincloths. Well, the frontal nudity was just Ken and Barbie doll stuff. There was a butt, though. I will not link to that wonderful song about butts and the word what. I promise.

Daggerfall even had naked women who would make you lose fatigue. Those were nymphs. I like them because I'm a bit immature. Nudity isn't really worth it, though. Like I mentioned, there were no fully naked men in Daggerfall outside of your own character. There was also a turn off nvde option, but it didn't work that well. It only applied to the player character. It probably would act the same way in any of the post Daggerfall games.

Only one that is predictable is Morrowind. You know when you can find a naked nord in Morrowind. In Oblivion and Skyrim, you don't know if you end up fighting a guy in a skirt. It is more predictable in Skyrim, but still.

Nudity =/= porm.

A lot of people have trouble with that, mostly since in this society porm's about the only place you'd see nudity. And any other places start getting treated like porm, which just keeps the cycle going and now I'm threatending to get ranty so I'd better not get into the male vs. female nudity bit or that would end badly. :dry:

I'd swear the Flesh Atronach was built to be... "fully functional", or at least he has the parts to be. Barely counts as a "man", of course.

Naked = porm?

Man, you must have a really different view of the Renaissance. And bathing.

I'm not chomping at the bit for nudity to be added. If they were going to do it, they'd probably do it the way some games handle blood and whatnot when you shoot someone: Add a toggle. It doesn't really affect me one way or the other, and I doubt them adding it (or not) would affect me buying the game.

"No benefits to adding clutter (bowls, forks, furniture, decoration) to houses; non-interactive wildlife and plantlife; weather effects at all. If you really need all that stuff to make the game more realistic to you, then play on the PC and use the mods. Or.... you can always use your imagination. Adding those things does not benefit anyone at all"

Adding nudity doesn't add enough to the game to justify the controversy it would arouse. Sure, you can say it adds just as much as bushes and spoons in the world, but there isn't exactly a huge stigma attached to foliage and cutlery in North America.

Even the first few TES games had nudity in them. Specifically Arena, Daggerfall and Battlespire.

Well that's a justifiable reason to add nudity to the game...

I'd rather like to have Bethesda working on more important things like patching the game working out the problems that still exist.

Morrowind only had the nudity on beast races, and that was only because underwear was too hard to mesh onto them. I like them nearly featurelessly nvde in Morrowind, though...

...I sincerely, sincerely hope the choice of those two examples was an intentional double-entendre (quadruple-entendre?) <_<
