People who want to view nudity in a game as problematic will do so; people who don't, will follow their own path on this. Which makes me wonder why we need yet-another thread from someone who has one position or the other.

...I sincerely, sincerely hope the choice of those two examples was an intentional double-entendre (quadruple-entendre?)
I was going to make note of that, but had better things to say. Like SPOOOOOOOOOOON!

Naked = porm?

Man, you must have a really different view of the Renaissance. And bathing.

I'm not chomping at the bit for nudity to be added. If they were going to do it, they'd probably do it the way some games handle blood and whatnot when you shoot someone: Add a toggle. It doesn't really affect me one way or the other, and I doubt them adding it (or not) would affect me buying the game.

I believe there was some game a time ago that had some nudity in I think it was Dante's Inferno I played the demo and there was a lot of nudity in it, but the reason it wasn't listed as a AO title was because of the way the nudity was used it wasn't that much sixual when I played the demo but as for the rest of the game I can't say because I never played the rest.

Why not just play Skyrim in the nvde? That'll do the trick.

No, every time six is portrayed in a game, the media vultures like to tear the game apart (ala Mass Effect anyone)

Beth doesn't need that unwanted controversy

Yeah, so did the first God of War. Quite naff really, just made some reviewers go 'Ohh! t!ts! These developers are really edgy!!'

Dante's Inferno had mostly tasteful nudity, at least. The lust area was the most sixual part. Got too bored of the game to care, though.

Exactly. Just like I said in my previous post...

Is nudity in Skyrim worth all of the scrutiny it will recieve?

Nudity isn't really as big of a deal as it's made out to be. However it is made out to be a big deal anyway. Case and point: this thread.

The beauty of PC Skyrim is exact?y that you can chnage what you want to see on your game...get a nvde mod and do what you want wit it, you can have nvde priesteses dancing arround, anmated prostitution or whatever...the whole double standard in the US I find highly repulsive; it is ok to kill, lie, steal but you better wait till you are 21 to drink vote and go to a strip club....the most enticing thing is the forbidden aand by making nudity such a big issue they actualy made it more interestiing and cool

I'd rather like to have Bethesda working on more important things like patching the game working out the problems that still exist.

Well the OP didn't really say six. He just wanted nudity.

It's close enough, if a video game even hints at six it could warrent controversy that the company may not want to deal with.

Think about the media uproar any game that showed nudity recieved. It's a whole lot of unnecessary and unwanted attention. People would use TES as examples of what's "ruining the youth".

All I gotta say is look up the insanity that is the Mass Effect fiasco. Some guy invented a new term for something while acting like the limited romance meant you could go online in the game and... Yeah... I wish I could say the amazing term he invented, though. It is truly hilarious.

that one tender love scene at the end of a 30 hour game was portrayed as instant alien gang [censored] glorification by the media. Yeah... I'm not even kidding about this at all.

Remember when Fallout 3 was banned from India for having two head cows since they consider cows sacred?

It was almost banned in australia because the original name of Morph X was Morphine, and they thought it encouraged drug use so bethesda had to change the name at the last minute. I used mods to change it back to be honest.

I laughed when I read about it. The guy then apologized and said, "But I'm still offended." Wonder if he just wanted to get offended.

yes, but let's not give them something to blow out of proportion if it serves only a marginal benefit to the game.
