level of sixual content

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 12:49 pm

im interested to see if this will just be a mini game or actually an important part of some quests

I'm pretty sure you will be required to kill people in the game. Is that worse than drinking?

AC2 was outrageously sixual

Yeah but that's what I was asking; where? There's like, one scene near the very beginning where six is implied, but it's blacked out and no nudity is shown. Elsewhere in the game, there's mention of prostitution...that's really about it. I only say all this because, if that's how you define outrageously sixual then yeah, Skyrim might be too much for you.

i just 'wanna see a bunch of half naked npcs running around in the snow in there underwear, they could catch a cold.

i was asking a simple question, AC2 was a game that came to mind another one would be DOAEBV or Cathrine or the witcher 2

it was just a simple example.

ESBR rating for sixual content
As the game progresses, the dialogue and on-screen text contains references to sixual material (e.g., “. . . all the [censored]s your heart, or any other organ, desires,” “She . . . [censored] the men as cruelly as Bal had ravished her,” and “Remember when you thought [he] was . . . intent on making you . . . into his personal six slave?”)

You give a simple example and you have no way of backing it up? I've played AC2 three times. I never found it anything like sixual. Please tell me where you thought it was, like the previous poster asked. I genuinely curious.

That's cool man, the example is fine, I'm just saying that if AC2 is over your limit, Skyrim could very well be too. I rather expect a similar level of sixual dialogue at any rate, being the land of drunken Viking-types that it is. And since you can get married, I wouldn't be surprised at a blacked-out implied bedroom scene, if you will. Then of course there's always the option of stripping down your character to their skivvies. I know every individual and culture has their own definitions of what "sixual" is and you have your own, which again is cool. I'm not trying to flame, just to give advice and understand what your baseline is and what would render Skyrim unplayable

im sorry got getting defensive

i understand if it is part of the story. and i don't care about art or statues. and a black out scene is fine, after all i loved fable.

but when it feels forced or unavoidable is when i have an issue with it

like how you have to have an amulet to flirt, perfect i just wont get the amulet.

but if a main story quest requires me to go to a [censored] house like in DA2 then that seems a little forced.

or like mass effect were it seemed like either you flirt with everyone or your mr [censored] MC [censored] [censored] is a little much.

It's funny you say that since Bloodmoon actually had a lot of Nords running around in the snow in their underwear. Thankfully I always use the underwear version of the body mods.

I actually have expected Skyrim to have the same, but so far all I've seen is a couple of Nords sitting naked in a hot spring (naked meaning underwear of course).

I haven't seen that much suggestive themes in Skyrim so far other than the boob armor (some sets more offensive than others). You will know them when you see them. The lingerie of body armor.

PC version will definetly have Super OP sixual content when the mods come out. I can promise you that much.

Yes. Thankfully Bethesda has not followed suit of the countless six mods that just degrade women.

not even a terrible BioWare scene.

Thank the Divines. Bioware has become the American Otaku Company. I do not buy anything they're affiliated with. They've insulted so many people, and their vile attitude of shut-up [censored], towards those former customers is sickening. I couldn't even stand being on their forums for more than five minutes. I'm really glad Bethesda is not like Bioware.

The US is pretty prude when it comes to sixual content in anything. So a US M rating doesn't necessary mean the game is packed with six/six references.

This is not meant as an insult to the US.
I speak from experience since I'm dating an American. Always fun when the mother-in-law visits. " OMG, they are showing naked boobs on tv". Then she always looks away.

Good times :-)

Unfortunately our American mindset about the games we play is very conflicted. We are willing to sixualize and degrade female characters in games, but we're also very prude about any form of suggestive themes. It's like there's a secret pervert in everyone that spits at lust, but then also can't wait to subjugate the female body. It's very weird. I've studied it in psychology classes and still can't figure out why its so prevalent in a society that cherishes civil rights.

Ok well in that sense, I think you're gonna be just fine with Skyrim, no worries :) I'd be incredibly surprised to find that kind of thing forced on you in a game like this, so as long as you're cool with options being there but not necessarily taking them, then I'm about 99% sure you'll be safe with this title.

i have no problem with the choices being there, because if i'm presented with two roads and i can chose what road to take

i'm not a moron who will take the one road and then right and angry letter to the company about there being another choice.

Thats just funny dude lol, But its realism.
Dono why ppl have so much trouble with this, Its not like they shove it in your face, They just show you got the character is and how vastly he changes from that.

It's alright, OP, you arent the only one who found AC2 a smidge over the top. It wasn't nearly as bad as mass effect, or the sabotuer, but it still came off as slightly tasteless.

But, I somehow doubt Skyrim will be anything like this.

Some people are prudes. And no, it's not an insult, but some just aren't comfortable with certain material.

I, on the other hand, am the exact opposite. I find nothing wrong with putting some dialogue/scene in there after marriage, or even before. Nudity or sixuality doesn't faze me. It's a part of being human and it's beautiful. six isn't a sin, or dirty. It's only ruined by those who misuse it and those who fear it.

I'm old enough to buy the game and enjoy it and i have been a long time fan of TES so i have a basic idea of what will be in the game.

but i want to know what the level of sixuality is in the game, will it be a [censored]'s romp like Ass creed of more like oblivion were there is none at all?

this will be a deal breaker for me because if the game is overly sixual i will not be buying it.
i might get flamed for this but it's just something i don't like in my games.
If anyone "flames" you for it then, lets face it, they're probably some sick freak :')

While I try to keep an open mind, this is the type of thing that makes me occasionally [censored] my head to the side like my dog when I look at the world. Playing a game where you are occasionally required to perform an action visually represented by shoving a foot long dagger into someones throat to end their life as blood spurts out everywhere is no big deal. But showing a little cleavage or implying that a man would have sixual relations with a woman is what offends someone. Sorry if I sound critical, but I just don't get it.

The "censored" word was a synonym of turn and is a perfect example of what I typed above.

People have their reasons. sixual themes can have certain effects on people, more so than violence. I'm not a psychiatrist, so I don't know.

i am REALLY bad at getting my point across

uhm lets see

it doesn't offend me, i just don't want to see it.

i have this WIERD veiw were the only sixual thing i wanna see is my girlfriend and i never wanna see another woman that way, i look away from [censored]ty things on TV and i don't play sixual video games for that reason

its just my view. i feel if i looked or purposely looked at something like that it would be cheating and wrong
