[RELz] Levelers Tower

Post » Mon May 28, 2012 5:58 am

~ I was just thinking you may have tought that it had a glitch of some kind due to textures ~

:) oh no, I just use my knowledge of these games to try and break things, and in so doing hopefully help developers before they release to the masses, to try and help reduce the amount of "potential" problems for the author ideally before the average user applies all the possible diverse combinations of mods out there.

Willie, I love this mod. It makes getting around Skyrim so much easier. You might want to make a change to the leveler's sword and levelr's bow so they cannot be destroyed on the enchanting table in the same way that staffs cannot be destroyed.

I finally noticed that you have a map that allows travel to all the dragon mounds. That is also a nice touch.

Thanks everyone!
There are quite a few features in the mod, and even though the readme is long, it explains all the things you can do. :)

The door thingie made me laugh out loud! I love the house. The arena is simply superb, and I am in love with the garden. The attention to detail is absolutely astounding.
The only thing I like less is the main area (where the NPC is). The layout is a bit confusing with all the pillars and corridors. Otherwise, all works perfectly.
My only request would be to add another room for companions... And a maidhttp://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=13569 serving drinks while I watch monsters battling in the arena XD

Seriously, your mod is purely outstanding! Thanks a lot for sharing!

As with your Mod Ancient Towers for Oblivion, this is an absolutely awesome mod. Great Atmosphere, but i have a request for you. Can you take a look at making the menu that pops up when we use the spell "Levelers Home" into a menu that shows all the places you can go to in a list form? ( IF that is possible at least. ) Right now the menu goes partially of screen on the right side of my monitor.

Right now it looks like this for me...

http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/541797441723933093/FD32A0F59579F1D232C3F9618E963FDBF871DDB3/

I can barely see Falkrath, and one of the other 9 holds is of screen for me?

karrakaz - Yeah, I would like to have more an open area in the main area, but could not find any decent room meshes. And its only going to get worse, when I add more rooms. I would like most all the rooms to connect off the basemant room.

Illius - That menu layout is a 'feature' of the new Skyrim engine, and not a good one if you ask me. Your also missing the 'home' on the left. That is the problem with a square screen, and the only way to fix it is to use less letters in each menu selection. I have a widescreen monitor and there is plenty of space on both sides, but I knew it would be a problem for square monitor users.

If i understand it correctly then it means that you can not change it to a list menu. Is it then maybe possible that it can be made so that it shows the first 4 or 5 choices and a "button" next that takes it to the next menu with the last 4 or 5 choices of Strongholds to travel to?

I got the double-menu working. Its not as pretty as I would like, but it does show both menus. And I added a 'cancel' selecton on the second menu.

I also have a lot of other things fixed, I should be able to upload a new version today.

I will be packaging the whole thing again, for a new and fll v1.2 and it should be available soon.

Things this new version has or fixed.

1. Fixed many of the activation messages, and added some messages to objects.
2. Nirnroot - You can toggle the sound on/off if you activate the nirnroot while in sneak mode.
3. Added two blade trap levers to the arena floor. Now you can turn them on and off, while in the arena.
4. Summon Dragon spells. Agressive dragons now give souls. Friendly dragons will fight for you. Just try to keep him in the cell your in, he flys off to attack your enemies in a rather large radius. The friendly dragon is a toggle spell.
5. Changed 'Dovakiin' messages to 'Old Friend'.
6. Increased basemant lighting a little bit.
7. Added a trigger zone that should close the arena auto door when you move away from it, in case it gets stuck open.
8. Auto-sort ingredient button, if your sneaking/crouched, it will take all the ingredients from the pots and put them back into your inventory.
9. Home spell converted into a multi-menu so even with a small screen resolution you should be able to see all the selections.
10. Merchant max gold, if your sneaking/crouched and activate the merchant, you can change the max gold she carries. Some people do not get any gold from selling to a merchant with more than 20K gold. Now you can choose how much gold the merchant has. This becomes active the next time you activate her. It will also now 'remove' gold if they have more than the set max.

* I could not find a problem with the Force Sword doing no damage, it always did damage when I used it.

The second menu for the Home spell is hosed. If you want to fix it for now, in the script, the 'button' variable in the second menu should be pointing to 'button2'. So, only Winterhold works, since I actually had it right. I just forgot to change the others. :slap:

The throne is also busted, but I have it fixed now to. I had removed the 'isJarlChair' keyword and that broke it.

I am in the process of cleaning up some vanilla cells. And I am building the bedroom.

I put some 'window' in the bedroom, with a nice view of a cavern with pine trees and a couple of waterfalls. Its just a beginning though. Ideas for what should be in this area are welcome. BTW, its not navmeshed yet.

Will you be fixing the master bedroom up so that it's on par with the rest of the tower? I understand that it's heavy WIP, but the master bedroom seems underwhelming compared to the rest of the map. I'm just wondering if you're going to keep the somewhat dull Dwemer colors in it or swap it to be more akin to the rest of the tower. Anyways, awesome mod.

I don't have any good ideas right now. I am enjoying the ability to get around skyrim easier.

Thanks a ton for this. I hadn't noticed there was a new update and was coming in here to request it. I spend more time playing around in the arena than I do in the rest of the game.
