Oh wow.....imo you can't even compare these two groups. They're just too different - musically, stylistically, artistically, all of that. Too different.
I grew up listening to a lot of the Beatles & loved them. An all-time fave for pop music. At this point I still love them but most of the time I don't have a desire to listen to most of their music, especially the earlier stuff - I have to be in a certain mood. The exceptions are Rocky Raccoon & Bungalow Bill from the White Album and a few other songs here and there (Day In the Life, Let It Be, etc) that I could listen to forever. Both Lennon & McCartney as solo acts never captured my attention, tho.
In my early 20's I listened to Queen a lot & I consider them one of my fave all time bands. I didn't love every single one of their songs, but Freddie was amazing. They're more for listening to while driving fast up a mountain road, for me.
