It depends on how you read it. If you read "RD" out loud as "Rainbow Dash" and use RD simply as a shorthand version of the whole name, you use "a". If you use "RD" as a nickname and pronounce it "Arr Dee" like AJ does in the show, I'd use "an".

The whole "a" "an" thing seems like a relic of dialect and spoken language anyway.

Well it's not too early really. This post should be the 198th one. Just two more to go. But What I wanted to close this thread on is if anyone else is going to make a pony related new years resolution for 2012.

I've been dragging my story making on for too long due to time constraints but 2012 will come with another summer and more days of basking in the sun and taking it easy on those single days of the week where you are not working, so I'm going to finish my story 100% in 2012. Even if it means giving up indulging in some of my other hobbies.
