I know Morrowind allowed you to get both, but it was kinda buggy and probably not intended. You would have a werewolf body with a vampire head. :P

There are no hybrids. Once one of the diseases, Sanies Lupinus or Porphyric Hemophilia take hold, the victim is completely immune to other diseases. Even in the incredibly unlikely event that someone is infected with both, while being infected with one is difficult enough, the stronger disease, which I'm willing to bet is Sanies Lupinus, would probably take over.

I have seen all 700+ episodes of the Dragonball Z franchise and there is not one single vampire or werewolf.

The closest thing to a Were anything,is the Great Ape transformation.

Normally I'd hop on the bandwagon and call you a troll, but obviously your not, your just, well, wrong.

xD
Clearly you haven't seen the whole franchise. There is not only a vampire but a mummy and demon in dragonball....

It's possible that the Vampire and Werewolf factions are at war, could be some very interesting quests here.

Now that we know the player can be a Vampire and a Werewolf, it's fun to ponder whereas these states are incompatible with one another or not.
Well, in real life, lycantrophy is fully compatible with porphyric hemophilia, because hypergrowth of hair is in no way connected with blood fixation or sun allergy. It's possible to have all three (although that'd likely be maybe only 1 per trillion people, and we only have 7 billion people on earth). Using game sense, then NO they would likely not be compatible because of the consequences of trying to design it (1) visually and (2) game-mechanically (balance etc).

In real life, clinical lycanthropy is a mental disorder, and porphyric hemophilia is an uncommon name for a range of diseases known as porphyria.
Porphyrias are a group of inherited or acquired disorders of certain enzymes in the heme bio-synthetic pathway (also called porphyrin pathway). They are broadly classified as acute (hepatic) porphyrias and cutaneous (erythropoietic) porphyrias, based on the site of the overproduction and accumulation of the porphyrins (or their chemical precursors). They manifest with either neurological complications or skin problems (or occasionally both). A clinically induced and histologically identical condition is called pseudoporphyria. Pseudoporphyria is characterized by normal serum and urine porphyrin levels.

Wasnt meant to be possible in Morrowind, there were some workarounds to get it wich resulted in that ugly form someone linked earlier, but that was a glitch.

So, does becoming immune to all disease immediately cure all previously-contracted disease? If not, you could become both.

Sanies Lupinus and Porphyric Hemophilia both give the afflicted a 100% disease resistance...Unless you used the cheat console, you could only be one or the other...

Shouldn't it be like in Underworld where when a vampire bites a werewolf they die or a werewolf bites a vampire they die? Cause I think that if you have one and you are immune to the other but it should harm you in some way. Every monster has a weakness.

Thanks for your thoughts everyone, and especially enlightening me about the fact both come with disease immunity.

Id prefer to avoid hybrids in core gameplay myself, although allowing it to happen through the console would be nice. MIght like to try that in a later playthrough. :)

"I don't care what you say - I'm a vampire werewolf dragonborn khajiit ninja assasin warrior princess archmage. I'm a SRS ROLEPLAYER!"

/sarcasm ;p

Lol. :D

But seriously being a were-wolf, and a vampire would be ridiculously inconvenient. Wanna drink blood? Kind of hard to do during the day, wanna move around at night? Sorry you've become a giant feral beast until sunrise in which you become a vampire.

You're only salvation as a vampire were-wolf is if you only went out during very cloudy days, or lived in a cave for the rest of your unlife.

That's not what happened in Underworld. Death would only happen if Michael had contracted both viruses before changing into a vamp or lycan. The body can handle one virus but not both at the same time.

And in TES Vampires and Lycans are immune to disease so why would they die from biting one another? Plus there are books that say vamps have even fed on the lycans.

"Is this the moment for me to admit that there was a time I loved being a bloodsvcking creature of the night? It is not impossible to live only at night, merely occasionally inconvenient. And I wouldn't have to kill humans every night, merely warm-blooded creatures. Orcs have a delicious, rich brothy blood; rats are a little sweet for the only meal of the night; werewolves are a real treat, almost decadent the tincture between human and beast. A real gourmet's delight."

It's not a Bloodmoon, so a werewolf should only forcibly change a few times per month (Which moon are they tied to? Both?)

During the Bloodmoon it was Secunda, the young moon that turned red. I cannot say if only Secunda has a sway in transformations. I suppose we must wait and look to the sky.
