Marriage options are all Kinda Ugly WHY!

Nocturnal was very hot. Unfortunately marrying Deadric Princes probably wouldn't go very well.

Huh.

Actually, I don't think any of Skyrim's characters are aesthetically attractive at all. The environments aare gorgeous because Beth knows how to do environmental art, but character aesthetics? Beth has never learned how to do this, like most Western developers don't know. They're not alone, so I guess that's comfort for them.

In all fairness, I think Skyrim's characters look pretty damn good. And way better than anything from any Anime-inspired game (Western or eastern-made).

And yet your avatar has giant purple pigtails. Aesthetics indeed. And yes I disagree.

her face is fully painted so i really dont know what it looks like even with all my graphics setting on highest. great one pretty woman and her face is full of warpaint. nice., look@ my beautiful wife who has a what looks like a bear mauling tatoo'd onto her face.

She's not so hot without the warpaint, oddly. Someone modded away her paint and she looks plain-jane. With her beastly attitude AND mediocre looks, plus substandard cooking, and monotone voice- what incentive is there? None, really.

And to the guy who thinks western RPGs don't get "aesthetics" or that JRPGs with purple pigtails do, please, for your own good seek help. There are opinions and then there is delusion. :sadvaultboy:

Why do you care anyways? Just go download one of the 100 nvde female mods out already, like all those other weirdos. I can almost guarantee you wont care what their faces look like at that point.

Plus, I married Ysolda, she was nice and kinda pretty.

The lack of this for the marriage options is why most are disappointed.

I'm more disappointed in the scrips than anything else, I'd rather have only 5 in-depth options than have 20 Robot ones; same with companions.

That actually had me laughing out loud. Too true.

i guess after i beat the game ill mod in a wife for myself.

Anyone else find this odd - can't get a girlfriend in real life, can't get one in a computer game so i'll make my own in the computer game that barely has anything to do with finding a partner. If you want a virtual girlfriend I'd go for a more specific virtual girlfriend game rather than skyrim. Either that or just find a pic of a hot girl, type 'do you want some food' at the bottom and set it as your wallpaper, it's about as realistic as the relationships in skyrim.

All joking aside, you are correct none of the women are hot. Thankfully it's not a game breaker for me, I'd probably end up just killing the bi.... ooops i've said too much

I don't really care for this feature, but based off of what I'm hearing it seems like it shouldn't have been implemented.

I'm usually not one to say these kind of things, but romance was still much better in Morrowind even if it was only a couple quest.

I agree. There's only one Argonian female you can marry, and whenever I go up close to her she says "What? You want a knife? You want in a knife in your belly? No? Then go away!" :(

I think it's a good feature that could use a bit more fleshing out with dialouge and maybe some minor quests after the fact, it just should have had more race options included. There's 1 single female Altmer in the entire game to marry? Not to even speak of Khajiits...

Some people are mature enough to understand that wanting enough decent choices in game doesn't mean people are looking for dating sims.

THANKYOU.

i feel so sad so many people have jumped on her bandwagon.

hey guys quote her more maybe ull get her messenger or email or private message her and she can tell you how she hates physical looks etc.

Im not looking for a virtual dating sim. I just find the marriage choices to be too slim and i would like someone more pleasing to my eyes to come home to in game. Pretty simple. if i marrying anything i want it to be nicer looking. most of the choices are all OLD people. ive gone through the list and some of the pretty ones have their faces covered in tatoos or a permanant hood.

*walks inside to store something in chest* "Hello my love, back from another adventure no doubt!"

*Walks out* "Yes my love?"

*Goes to alchemy lab* "Hello my love."

It's the same thing over and over again :pinch:

Ugly?! You clearly haven't tried to marry Aaela and then giving her Set of the Old Gods (looking like Forsworn armor set)...she's hot as hell. :)

Why no Khajiit women?! I understand they're mostly nomadic, if anything, in this game, but it feels kind of awkward having inter-species marriages between cat people and humans...

She most certainly can be. Pretty face, sweet voice - what's not to like? Not to mention that she's ambitious and independent, seeing as it's her dream to be a successful merchant.

I get where you're coming from and I was only going for some sarcasm and cheap laughs. I struggle and think I always will with the thought of a hot character. To actually be able to see a videogame character and for me to think wow she's hot technology is going to have to advance a lot more. Firstly to be able to match my expectations of 'hot' and secondly have the capability to include it in such a resource heavy game where there is so much other stuff going on. I'm not a graphics junkie so am resigned to the fact that for me I can't see it happening.

Developers have to have some sort of limits on what the will and won't include in a game otherwise it can become ridiculous. Marriage, divorce, monogamy, babies. Then all the combinations of the gamers who will want to try and break the system by trying to marry every female in it. Someone will find a fault or say why can't I have 6 wives all in the same city with 4 living in my house and the other two with houses of their own, 3 of them own shops which I can get my goods for free from one is the Jarl and her other husband hasn't got a clue. Then will come the inevitable "Ha ha ha I beat the system, marriage in this game is broken, what were they thinking not being able to cope with all of this stuff, I'll never buy a Bethesda game again".

Yeah ok i kind of went off on a tangent there but hopefully you see the point, got to go someone just started a thread about beating the leveling and perks system.

I have trouble getting a woman as well. All the pretty female nords are either to mainstream and EVERYONE marries them (Lydia, ysolda,) aren't followers, or require a lot of quests to get (Aela). I really want Aela but I'm too lazy to do the rest of the Companion quests.

i dont like her only because she looks generally like my family and shes not really a fighter also. i find opposite features more attractive so i was hoping for a redgaurd woman.

theres only ONE redgaurd woman you can marry and she wears a perma hood. i dont like that at all.
