Steven King would be speechless if he saw these endings. This is the kind of thing you do if you're trying to get rid of fans, not gain them. I don't care how good the multiplayer may be.
I haven't seen it, but I have a feeling I'll like it.

Edit
Also personal opinion is subjective. All the honest folks haven't played the game yet. It remains to be seen how much people are going to like it or not.

I don't know about that I saw the endings and I very much enjoyed them. Of course with the amount of complaining on the Bioware fourms you're probably right. Many people will probably be disappointed because the endings ain't a

Now I'm curious if it's going to be a super happy fun-time ending or a really dark, bittersweet ending. I'd prefer the latter. Of course it could always be crap. Which is what people seem to think. Of course I try and form my own opinion.

I'd prefer an ending where we don't stop the Reapers. Where we end up like the Protheans, flinging a light into the future. The game would end with the final missions being about this, and the ending scene would be 50,000 years later, at the moment that the next alien species finds what was left behind.

Of course that would be too dark for them, I'm guessing.

I said "Of course" a lot. :ermm:

I never said I didn't like leading people to ruining for themselves, but that was a one time thing. (Plus, it's fun when people like me can't resist to click links.) Also, it shows nothing about the ending. Just the forum.

Which is bad enough, really. Those forums are... weird.

The Tali fans really creep me out. I like Tali and all, but not to that extreme. And besides, my favorite character is Garrus.

Oh Garrus, you snarky bastard. :hugs:

I've heard bittersweet being thrown around, I would have wanted at least one downer ending even worse than bittersweet.

In less then in hour of reading I figured that out. Their really PO'd over there aren't they?

EDIT: If I really wanted to ruin it for someone, I could link the leaked script on here. But I'm not going too. (Plus, I think it's against the rules.)

Nearly everything that Bioware does is met with cries of "Ruined Forever" from those "Fans". No matter what they do those people will find something to hate them for.

Well, if you look up Epic forums and stay on there for a month, they have extreme anger issues. Well four of them do.

EDIT: Garrus is also my favorite character. Why? Hell if I know, he's just cool. Plus one of the first Turians you see in game. Which you know, makes him bad-ass. :gun:

I'm guessing most say PREORDER CANCELLED! as a joke. Belive it or not the Skyrim section in this forum was just as bad almost as bad as the Bioware forum.

No it's not them saying preordere cancelled.

Person 1: Y u no do this Bioware?
Person 2: PREORDER CANCELLED!

Though a few of the dim witted ones, do the entire meme for us. This meme arose form the sheer spammy volume of topics with all these people cancelling their preorderes, and for all the good it did the collectors edition is still sold out and they've dropped a few lines stating they have more preorders than ME2. The sheer magnitude of people who say they're going to cancel their preorder is just astounding. Now if only those people actually did it, I would like to see what would happen.

Getting close to the end of Mass Effect 2. Just did the Overlord DLC tonight, kind of creepy stuff there. The gameplay was okay, but in a way it was so different from the rest of the game that it sort of felt gimmicky. I hope ME3 doesn't try to deviate too much (Overlord's vehicle parts felt platform-y, while the puzzle solving was cool it sort of felt out of place in Mass Effect).

Still going to fool around with a few more side quests but I should finish ME2 on Friday (or Saturday if I go out Friday night) and I hope to pick up Mass Effect 1 because I never finished it either. I probably wont have enough time to finish it before 3 comes out, but it's worth a shot (I'm probably 6-8 hours in..I rented it once and that was it).

I am completely shocked by the notice I got as I logged into bioware's forums.

A zero tolerance policy on abuse of the staff?

Wow.

Now that I've heard the possible endings, I understand completely why the fans are so pissed.

They want 60 bucks for THAT?!

Much as I hate to admit it, Bioware is well within their rights to impose miniature martial law. People have terrorized their employer's with some very horrific things. What I don't agree with is that this will probably not be lifted, and is a new things. So overall decline in ability to speak on their forums. I can't really say if I would rather have it or not, but it's definitely not completely unjustified.

Edit
Ha, another person mad. Take a number. PREORDER CANCELLED! :P I jest of course. Don't hurt me. :whistling:

Heh, I've been hoping that the Reapers will win regardless of your actions, and especially regardless of whether you're a Paragon, Renegade, or neutral.

I suspect it won't be quite that grim. Though it would be neat if one ending was us sending a warning to the future and then an alien receiving said warning. My bets are minimum Shepard dies.

I agree that they are within their rights to throw around the banhammer. Abuse is not something to be tolerated. My shock was more directed at that the endings could be so enraging that they'd make it clearly visible on like every page you visit.

I'm baffled that they would go with these types of endings. I can't see how bioware could possibly continue the franchise after this. Its almost as if they were tired of it and just wanted to pull the plug on the whole thing so they could be like blizzard and ignore everything but their one big MMO.

I'm half tempted to buy my CE version, and just wait a few days with it unopened for a few days until I hear more feedback on how it really was. I don't want to get stuck with another DA2.

Guys, guys, you have to read this spoiler discussion!

Spoiler
if the normandy crew has to sustain itself on that planet and creates a colony, which is ridiculous on its own merits

does that mean the dextro-aminos (tali, garrus) starve? and do steve cortez and samantha traynor have to have six and procreate against their desires?

because all of that is super effing gross, bioware.

as a gay person, i'm honestly a little sick to my stomach thinking about the gay part.

given the absurd notion of populating a colony off a crew as small as the normandy's, it seems farfetched that someone wouldn't participate because of their sixuality (and that doesn't make it less gross).

unless they just rock their inner geth out and scrap the normandy to make new people

which is similarly the dumbest thing i've ever heard.

I don't think the writer's thought this through.

Well to be fair they have been making the plot as they went along, they just got lazier toward the end.

They don't have the population to support a colony and there's no guarantee they will survive the elements, find reliable food and water, and the such. Basically, if the leaked ending is true your old squaddies will die a slow and painful death. Perhaps you wont feel so guilty if you let them die with honor and without much pain in ME1 and ME2, eh?

The leaks also make having a LI kinda lame since you're never seeing them again. Better to just hit it and quit it, at least that's what the leaked endings are giving off.

Ah, schadenfreude. ME3: hours of harm-joy, whether in-game or out-. Buy it now!
