If you (or anyone else) haven't already played / completed them, I recommend playing both the demos for KOA as well as Mass Effect 3. There are rewards for playing as well as beating both of them - namely armor and guns.

That was the only reason I played forced myself through the toony demo, just to get the stuff for ME3. Even though I completed both demos, they were for different reasons. The toony was for the stuff, and ME3 demo was just for ME3.

[censored] it! They have ruined the game. I can't get over how large they have made Ashley and Liara's briasts in ME3. Why on earth did they have to make them porm star large? They were perfectly fine in ME2. Now they look implanted.

Its irrational for me to care so much about it, but honestly WTF.

I don't really notice a diff in Ashley. As for Liaria...it's called puberty. She was not much more than a young teen in ME1. As Asari age, there briasts enlarge.

She becomes some sort of android, I don't really care for having her as a companion.

So as I have mentioned before, this is my first EVER playthrough of Mass Effect 2. Anybody have any recommendations on class type? I'll be sitting here for the next 2 hours trying to decide for myself.
Well, I loved the Vanguard class in ME2. When I was looking through my game saves, clearly I favored that class. My first character was an Infiltrator, back in ME1, also fun.

If you're playing on any difficulty higher than Normal, don't bother playing an Adept. Most of their abilities require the enemy to be naked, and on higher difficulties, most have at least one form of defense up, like armor, shields, or barriers.

I'd also advise against playing as a Vanguard for your first run. Depending on who you are, they could end up as awesome but impractical, or difficult but awesome; either way, they're not a good class for a beginner.
LOL... I immediately went to Vanguard. There is something about that charge that just makes me hilariously reckless. And normally I prefer a ranged/stealth/sniper type of gameplay. But playing vanguard in ME2 gave me the best of both - I had biotics plus the ability to just slam into people like a nutjob on occasion.

So far, enjoying the game. Finished the first primary mission to retrieve the Primarch, am now a bit bogged down in the Citadel. I happened to check my journal and my jaw dropped at how much side crap somehow ended up in there. WTF.

So, trying to do Aria's tasks, even though I'd like to both high five her and slap her into space in the same breath...

I am unable to convince the black market arms dealer to part with anything, so I seem to be at a dead end.  I can order a hit on the general, which I don't really want to do.  Any pointers on how I can resolve this - namely, I guess, getting the  black market salarian vendor to part with the high end stuff he is hoarding?

I had trouble with that part too.

Spoiler
You're meant to go back to the Galaxy map and find a cluster that has a quest marker that says "Retrieve black market artifacts" or something like that. Then you just scan the system and bring the stuff back to the merchant.

I'm wishing I had done vanguard but I was too far in to want to redo things right away to change from sentinel. I absolutely love the biotech sword melee attack thing.

Assuming the latter.

You will find the artifact in Kite's Nest on the planet Vana in the Vular system. Be sure to do the scan while the normandy is directly over the planet ( not in orbit) You have to get the scan in one shot because the reaper awareness jumps really high with one scan in this system.

I know EXACTLY how you feel. I have 57 quests in my journal right now :dead:

And it doesn't help that all the side missions don't have quest stages. Half the time I have what I need to finish the quest but I keep looking for it anyways because I don't get a "I've retrieved X artifact, I now need to return to X person for my reward." quest update.

The pictures don't really show you. But its still a difference. No matter how small the change, there was a person on the team who said "They have to be bigger'

Well, that ending has svcked out any desire to continue playing. Seriously terrible. I won't say much more because of spoilers, but don't rush to get to the end. Enjoy the game while you still can!

Okay, so that might be a bit melodramatic.

So I take it that it more of a gamplay problem rather than story.

Anyone know how to increase galactic readiness? I'm stuck at 50% in all systems. I have 4000+ War Assets but only a bit over 2000 are operational.

You have to play the multiplayer to get 100%.

Ahh balls.

Looks like I'm going to jump into multiplayer prematurely. Was saving it until after I beat the game.

Thanks for the help with the Aria mission, got it sorted. I am getting frustrated by the non-information for the side missions. Another example, I have one to suss out a possible indoctrinated Hanar. The map seems to be telling me there is a terminal in the Embassy area, but nothing is available. So I assume there is some other step or piece of info I might stumble across... yet I have zero clue. Grrrr.

I wish they would stop dragging out the Kaidan thing... I get it, he was injured, now he's doing better... either just have him join the crew or don't. Stop sending random emails all "Come visit me in the hospital".

I did like the mission where I ran into Jack.

You have to play the multiplayer to get 100%.
Wait - I thought that you do NOT have to play multi-player, just do more missions on the single player. That was one of my pet peeves about the game. I get that people like co-op mode and all, but don't force it on people who like single player.

You don't need to do the multiplayer to get the best ending. However if you want the Galactic Readiness to be at 100% (which supposedly dosen't effect the ending) you need to do the multiplayer.

Not trying to be a jerk here, but google "Mass effect wiki" then type the mission into the search bar, and viola

From what I've seen, all Galactic Readiness seems to do is give you a multiplier to War Assets. Useful if you plan on rushing through the game, but it doesn't really matter if you plan on hundred-percenting the game anyway.

Galactic readiness boosts your war assets, nothing more. The more multiplayer you play, and the higher levels you get then you boost your war assets. It's pretty simple, if undocumented system. So it can help people shor eup their war assets if they did particularily bad, and for paranoid parrot types like myself it can be used to guarantee having enough war assets.

Javik is the most annoying [censored] in existence. How did their species conquer anything? Because they got lucky enough to evolve an ability to allow them to absorb information fast. Not through any application of skill. I can see why they died now, too firm. You bend them and they break, no bend in the blade. No flexibility to change their stubborn idiotic ways. I honestly think if they didn't have their neat little absorbing trick they would never have become to dominant species of their time.

I have the same problem too. It keeps telling me to go to the terminal in the embassy but I can't activate it when I get near it.
