The prima offical guide says its possible to get the best endings without playing multiplayer, but I really don't see how that EMS is going to get to 4000 with only

I think I ended with 3500 EMS. I know I missed out on a few things that could have led to more. It's got to go perfectly.

Also this is lunacy. Most video game news sites who are supposed to be for the gamer are siding with the the we're all whiners camp. TotalBiscuit pointed out why this may be, their ad revenue. Not to mention they're source of income on exclusive reviews and other things. It wouldn't be in their interest to tell people the ending is bad when it could harm them in the long run. Instead it's Forbes and other different sites with a few video game sites thrown in siding with us. How bizarre is this. Makes me wonder what went wrong and how we came to this place.

The course is the website that shall not be named though. They've made as much legitimate leaks as they have fake leaks and trolls. So it's 50/50 either way. If it's true then yay.

The Ending we see was purposely botched because of the leak. Wouldn't make sense since EA has defended it, though. Or maybe it's just a DLC made because of the community reaction.
A DLC will come out in April/May called "The Truth" and will end the game properly. Current ending was an indoctrination dream sequence.

That EA has some master plan to add in the ending form the beginning due to them not having the time and budget to finish it for release. It would be a free DLC that is the real end and involve the Reapers/Collectors/Shepard and uh a base of some kind something alpha. It would also add new weapons and classes to multiplayer co-op. Batarian Soldier, Batarian something, Asari Justicar, and a few others. I think there was an alleged image of it. He unlocked it on the developer server apparently. Release targets somewhere around april or so.

I brought peace between the geth and quarians and I am still not going to get there.

Everything I have seen is about 3800 is the cap without multiplayer

No. Bioware's not that clever; and if they were, they'd telegraph it better. There's no such thing. Like I said, EA is risk-averse, and that kind of thing just pisses off fans without a clear, certain advantage which would justify the action. There's no way they'd let Bioware do something like that, even if Bioware wanted to.
