Hey xilverback & comm, just in case you haven't noticed, we started a topic about an "unlock spell" http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1318840-req-lockunlocking-spells/ with some thoughts about it which you might find useful. Haven't tried your skyrim mods but the oblivion ones were great. Looking forward to the quests. Thanks for your work.

@SonnyJ: I also expected hundreds of coins.

Would it be possible to add all the spells and spell effects that beth took out back in?
i.e. chameleon
Also would it be possible to make enchanting like oblivions.

I would be perfectly happy with the summons spells from the OB version, updated for Skyrim and nothing else. I absolutely loved setting my Balrog loose, causing havoc, and the setting is so much more fitting this time around... also, Cheese Atronach! (though that would fall under the "silly" Sheo spells :) )

I've got some ideas based on the Tower Stone spell. I'll test tomorrow.

Maybe, most will definitely be a challenge before the CK. There's Chameleon, Waterwalk, Open Lock, and maybe Levitation (from Morrowind) anything else?

I'm looking to be a bit more lore friendly. Although there were no Balrogs in TES Lore, there were Fire Demons in Arena :)

Hmmm...how about some necromantic spells? Quest-wise/Lore-wise, you could tie them in to Mannimarco...perhaps Midas stumbled across some ancient texts of the King of Worms?

Have you considered adding poison back in as an element? there's also these:
Slow fall
Blind
some form of sanctuary
silence
sound
reflect spells(as in actually shooting spells back, instead of merely absorbing them)
swift swim
elemental weakness spells
also, there's a spell in-game called spectral arrow that sounds really cool, but wasn't actually used in the game. Maybe you could use that somehow?

It'd be nice to have the "drain" effects from Oblivion back as spells - I think they exist on potions, shouldn't be hard to find them in theory?

What about a the same spell but with living Mammoths ?

Summon a swarm of live mammoths? I know Midas wants to be more lore-friendly this time - but I like the way you think, Mijaja!

Probably that. You could add almost anything to Oblivion and nothing would seem out of place because everything already seemed Circular, Bright, "Generic" and Fairy-Tale-Like. With Morrowind and Skyrim it's more difficult to add things without generating a out-of-place fell. Specially because the lore, the culture, the atmosphere and the art are Heavy, Squared, Dark-ish and TES-like. I simply cannot imagine a Bubble-Headed Person in Skyrim, while in Oblivion almost everyone already is a Bubble-Headed Person. Anyway, this unspoken Obligation will fade way in a matter of months. You is the modder and you decides what to do with your mod, don't let random people influence your work.

While I'm 100% behind modders making the mods they want, I really do hope most stick with keeping Skyrim Skyrim. The generic blandness of Oblivion, while it did allow for a much wider range of mods to "fit in", was one of the big drawbacks of the game for me. I know I personally won't be using any mods that drift out of the Look and Feel of Skyrim.

Did you extract everything to your data folder or just the esp?

Just the esp.

Take another look at the installation instructions in the readme and follow them. You need more than the .esp file by itself for this mod to work.

I've got a few spell ideas.

Destruction: Rune of Oil Slick or Conjuration: Summon Oil Slick
Places a rune on the ground that explodes into an oil slick that slows enemies and can be set on fire!

Restoration: Better Ward
Wards can absorb physical damage and can be released deal to percentage of the damage absorbed and throw them back based on how much damage was absorbed.

Illusion: Mirror Image
The classic Mirror Image spell creates multiple copies of the caster to attract the blows and arrows of enemies.

Alteration: Transformation Deceptively Sweet Roll
Turns a single enemy into a sweet roll for 30sec. If cast unnoticed, a nearby enemy will attempt to eat the sweet roll causing it to be paralyzed and take damage over time for 10sec, (or be turned into another sweet roll)

Destruction: Better Wall of Frost
Summons a Wall of Frost for 10sec that will impede enemy movement until destroyed.

Sweet roll would be so funny. Take out an entire bandit camp by turning them all into sweet rolls.

In the alternative, have sweet rolls come raining down on their heads....

The sweet roll should be used as something to distract them. You put the sweet roll down on the ground or on a table and people in the area, human only, fight over it.

It could be really funny

Also there should be a spell to apply a poison to food. The poison would be one you made with alchemy

now that the game supports actual flying creatures, how about a levitation spell? with some fancy animations, maybe?
